Great Brisket Recipe

June 2, 2008

Brisket is a very popular cut of meat where we live. I never cooked one before we moved here. But, I’m discovering lots of fun recipes for it. Slow cooking turns this tough cut into a very tender piece of meat.

Check out this one from Paula Deen’s television progam. (I did use a seasoning mix I had on hand, but her method is super easy to follow with whatever seasoning you choose.)

I had a brisket thawed and ready to make . . . and then you posted this recipe! We tried it tonight and it was absolutely delicious. I roasted it late morning, then sliced it and put it in the fridge dry (juice in a separate container). About 30 minutes before serving dinner I placed the sliced meat in a 9×13 pan, poured the juice over it, and warmed it up. Everyone voted this recipe was definitely a keeper! Thanks for the link.
