Meal Planning Monday

We love to eat over here at the FishHouse. And my children keep no secrets about what they like — and what they don’t. It’s a good day for the FishMama when they’re all humming at the dinnertable. Seriously.

They hum.

They eat and they hum. They all do it. It’s amazing. Can’t wait to see if this phenomenum lasts until they’re older. Can’t wait to see my future daughter-in-law’s face when they all break out in hums. Classic thought!

So, here’s to humming this week — and every week!

Sundaycinnamon rolls
McDonalds (open house to sell our real estate)
Peanut Butter Chicken pasta

Monday – oatmeal and dried cranberries
leftovers
hamburgers

Tuesday – eggs and toast
turkey sandwiches
chicken tortilla casserole, beans, rice, salad

Wednesday – cereal
PB&J
lasagna, garlic bread, veg or green salad

Thursday – banana bread and smoothies
leftovers
bean burritos

Friday – waffles
sandwiches
grilled chicken, rice, salad

Saturday – pancakes
chicken quesadillas
pizza

  1. Thanks for posting the grocery/meal planning stuff… it’s an area I have always struggled in. What to eat for dinner tonight, what to buy to stay under budget, and how to be somewhat healthy. My weakest area!

  2. That's funny that your kids hum when they're eating something they like. My son "bops" his head & does a little dance in his chair when he's happy with his meal. My mom said that I did this, too–and sometimes I still catch myself doing it if it's REALLY good! I'll be thinking of you during your move & praying everything goes well!

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
