Tired of Cooking Already!

December 30, 2008

I must confess, after Thanksgiving and Christmas, I’m a little tired of cooking. But, that makes having a meal plan all that more important. If I don’t feel like messing in the kitchen, then it’s so helpful just to look at my list on the fridge and make whatever it says. Just obey the list.

That said, here’s my plan for the week.

Breakfasts
omelets with ham
oatmeal and apples
banana bread and smoothies
raspberry muffins, chocolate crescents, and fruit salad (NY day)
waffles and berries
pancakes
cinnamon rolls

Lunches
chicken soup and buttered saltines
chicken salad sandwiches
grilled cheese
New Year’s Day picnic
pasta with red sauce, veggies
hot dogs
lunch out

Dinners
tacos and tostadas
Macaroni Grill kit with chicken
cocktail party for New Year’s Eve
minestrone soup
roast turkey and the fixins
turkey pot pie
white chili

I love a good soup for dinner. Enjoy the New Year’s Eve party.

Happy New Years!

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
