Is that part of a Playmobil Roman Colosseum I see before me? That was the Christmas gift of choice for the boys in our house this year. Playmobils on cake…what a great idea! I have only one homemade cake with any pizzazz at all and is a little sad and VERY homemade looking. But my oldest loved it and begged me to make it again next year, so I will send it in complete with picture!

Yes, MamaLibby it is. We got it last year before they shrunk the set down. The colosseum is huge! Bring on your cake, no matter what shape. It’s the love that went into it that counts.

For the last few birthdays around here, I’ve been making ice cream cakes/pies. I posted about one today that we had for my son’s recent b.day.

I just found your lovely site through What’s Cookin’.

I love cake. Everything about cake (except, of coarse, the waistline it gives me). I was excited to see the Mario cake since I’m sure that’s the kind of cake my son will be asking for on his birthday.

Here are some of mine for you post on the 29th. http://dillondementia.blogspot.com/search/label/cakes.

My two year old is into Fancy Nancy so I had to vote for that for your challenge. Have fun with whatever you end up doing!

Here is the most recent cake that I have done (Jan. 24, 2009) for the family. Hope you like it. The stars are done with fondant.
