Bunches of Yum

Posted By Jessica Fisher On April 28, 2009 @ 12:57 pm In Meal Planning | 6 Comments

Our family loves to snack on fresh fruit. And having it easily available is one way that I can increase my chances of getting 8 servings a day [5] into each child.

Grapes are a favorite fruit, and they seem to go on sale quite frequently. (<$1/lb is my target price [6].) After washing them like this [7], I cut them into individual bunches. This makes them easier to serve and avoids that barren grape twig in the fruit bowl.

It’s a kitchen trick [8] I learned when I worked in catering and it works so well for us [9].
