A friend of mine uses large and small plates to cover bowls in the fridge. I just started doing that. What a great idea! No baggies in the landfill and it's free.

I use spaghetti jars (or any glass jar) for canning throughout the year. As long as they have the standard size opening they work like a charm!

got old, holey socks? I use these for cleaning rags, and also have them under the sink for quick access to soak up spills rather than paper towels.

I reuse salsa jars to store pantry items in (thoroughly washed out of course) such as sugar. Spaghetti sauce jars (which I don't buy anymore, I make my own sauce) hold rice or flour.

I re-use plastic produce bags to cover plates & bowls etc of leftovers (instead of platic wrap). I've gotten to used to doing this that I momentarily freak out when our supply of bags has been used and have to pull out the box of plastic wrap.
