This past week was an expensive one: braces for one child, a retainer for another, both vehicle registrations, and a broken washing machine. All told, I think $4,000 left my checkbook. Ouch! I’m in the mood for some deals, how ’bout you?
*** Those of you in California will understand the CVS withdrawals I’ve undergone this month. Longs made the transfer to CVS, and so they suspended all ECB deals for the month. This weekend they’re back! And I see several good deals, including:
Act Rinse, $4.29 – $1 ECB = $3.29 (plus $1 coupon in Sunday’s paper)
Oral B Pulsonic rechargeable power toothbrush $49.99 – $20 ECBs = $29.99
milk $2.29 – $1 ECB = $1.29
Bumble Bee tuna $0.77/can
BOGO Arm&Hammer laundry soap
Chicken Noodle soup 2/$1
*** If you’re ready for couponing, make sure you sign up for coupons from Luvs, Kraft and General Mills as well as browse the ever-changing selection at Coupons.com. Also, make sure to check Taylortown Preview to see if Sunday’s newspaper inserts hold something promising for your household.
*** Graduations and Father’s Day are approaching. Plan ahead! Consider ordering a stash of gourmet coffee or designing fun “business cards” for gifts. If you’ve been stockpiling, you may be able to put together a care package of fun food items and pantry staples. Money Saving Mom and Freebies4Mom have both posted about photo deals this week, too. You may be able to put together a memorable collage or photo album or design a custom greeting card for very little money.
