Watching What We Eat

Lately I’ve made a few adjustments in my eating habits. I’ve cut out refined sugar and processed flour. In addition, I’ve started tracking what I eat on The Daily Plate [4]. My eyes have been opened to how much food I was absentmindedly consuming. Oh my! (No wonder my clothes don’t fit anymore.)

It’s taken a few days to mentally make the switch, but I think in the long run, it will be a good thing to make my calories count.

Since my diet changes also happen to be mostly gluten and sugar free, I’ve also seen a new perspective of others who might have to eat a certain way due to gluten-intolerance or diabetes. And in those situations, meal planning is essential to being successful.
