We had a wonderful cucumber salad tonight – diced cukes fresh from our backyard garden, with a tablespoon of sour cream and a tablespoon of mayo. Salt and pepper to taste, and you've got a refreshing salad!

I came to the US at 12 from the Phiippines and had my first cold green salad. It just seemed so wrong to eat raw veggies, and where was the rice! Now I love them and they are so simple.

I love real salads, the green kind, with homegrown tomatoes, assorted veggies and boiled eggs, raisins or craisins, nuts, seeds, and/or goldfish on top! But the first time I tasted this salad at a church gathering, I laughed. It is called a "salad," so it must be healthy, right? I found this variation on cooks.com. It is a yummy addition to a ladies' salad supper! SNICKERS® BAR SALAD
