Friday was the last day of school for the next two weeks and my whole family is sighing with relief. It is so nice to have one fewer plate to spin, even for a little while. I love our little school, but we’re all ready for a rest. Except for moving week, we’ve been going pretty steady since August.
Since most of my shopping is all tied up, I’m hoping to spend my school hours getting those organizing projects done. “My garage” is not quite as organized as it could be. So, I desperately need to tackle it. And since my brother moved out a few weeks ago, we gained another room which will be transformed into a Playroom.
Besides a little housework, I’m hoping we can rest, eat cookies, play games, and enjoy the days. We’ve got Christmas this week which is super cause for celebration. And the fun doesn’t stop there as we have friends from Kansas coming for a San Diego vacation next week and into the New Year.
In the meantime, I don’t want to be busy in the kitchen — unless it involves sugar, butter, and flour. So, I’m relying on my freezer meals and some easy Holiday Dishes to feed us this week.
Taco Bake (to use up some leftovers), Green Salad
Pasta and Red Sauce, Salad, Cornbread
Burritos
Fajitas
Christmas Eve: Ham and Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans, Buche de Noel
Christmas Day: Grilled Shrimp, Rice Pilaf, Salad, Cheesy Biscuits, Strawberry Pretzel Dessert
Macaroni and Cheese, Steamed Veggies, Green Salad
What are you cooking up this week?

It is so fun to see how different people's Christmas meals and traditions are! Thanksgiving tends to be relatively uniform but at Christmas, it seems that anything goes!
Enjoy your week and Merry Christmas!
