Yes. In our house all women are mothers. I see it as a day to honor all women who’ve had an impact in my life. I don’t give gifts really, but I try to send a note to someone who I admire for her nuturing spirit.
Because my FIL died very young, we have the same attitude for Father’s day. Dh is very grateful for the men who weren’t his father, but who cared enough to teach him how to be a man.
