Christmas is Coming!
In fact, it starts tomorrow. Well, sorta.
This is the third annual Christmas in July at LifeasMOM where we talk about all things Christmasy and how we can be better prepared as moms, homemakers, and family managers once December 1st rolls around.
Good Ideas
There is so much we could talk about as regards Christmas, that it could easily become overwhelming. Good thing we don’t have to do everything all at once. Instead, we can build on ideas and improve our celebrations from year to year.
This year we’ll be talking about:
- Jesus is Why
- Christmas To Do: Make a List and Check It Twice (and a free downloadable to do list)
- Building a Holiday Budget (with free downloadable planning sheet)
- Planning for a Holiday Baby
- Making Memories to Last a Lifetime
- Candy Cane Brownie Cupcakes
- Ultimate Recipe Swap – Come share your “Grab and Go” recipes. Ours will be Christmas themed, of course.
- 5 Ways to Save on Christmas Expenses – Frugal Friday
- Thinking Ahead for a Christmas Wardrobe
If you missed resources from Christmases Past, you can catch up. We’ve discussed so many things over the last two years:
Giveaways Galore
I’m so excited about the great DAILY giveaways we’ll have featured this week! Should I tell you or should I keep it a secret? Hmmm….
- Behold the Lamb of God CDs from Andrew Peterson
- Budgeting Tools from Dave Ramsey
- Easy Bottle Feeding with Steribottle
- Handknit Retro Stockings from FishMama’s Mom
- Customized Chocolate Bars with Chocomize
- Christmas Breakfast and Gourmet Granola
- Elegant Skirts from The Modest Mom
- Memories, Thai Kitchen, and a Cookbook Giveaway
While I’m thinking about that one, bookmark this post because I’ll be linking back to it throughout the week. This will be the one-stop planning shop for your “Life as MOM” at Christmas time.
Grab the button, spread the word, and come back tomorrow for all sorts of holiday inspiration.
** This series is brought to you, in part by sponsors, Dave Ramsey, Steribottle, and The Modest Mom. **

I’m new to your blog and can’t wait for this series, I’ll have to check out the other two years too. I started planning for Christmas last July too but still found I had a lot to do come December! Hopefully I’ll get better at planning this year.

I am excited to see all the great ideas!! Especially about preparing for a holiday baby. We are expecting our 3rd child, first little girl right before the holidays hit and I am already starting to organize so that I can actually celebrate and enjoy the holidays instead of running around all crazed and stressed out!

Hmm… Is there something I missed? Or perhaps, something you want to share? Is there a “Holiday Baby” in your midst this year? I’ve been picking up a lot of cues the past few months…Spill it!
Bwaaahaahaahaa!

@Sarah G, very funny. No, I just realized that many of my readers could benefit from baby posts. And my baby is getting so old I can’t remember.

I just found your blog and I will definitely be bookmarking your site and reading your posts on a regular basis. I am a planner by nature and somehow every year about this time (end of July) I start realizing that school is only a few weeks away and that always seems to start the Holiday rush for us. September 1st to January 1st is a blur!! I have really tried the last couple of years to plan ahead sooner and sooner so I, as a mom, can actually take time to enjoy the special time instead of trying so hard to make things great for everybody else that I somehow miss it all.
Thanks!!
Jane
