A Thank You & A Giveaway from FishMama

Can you join me for a cup of coffee? How ’bout a spot of tea? Let’s talk!

A blog without readers really isn’t much — except a way for my mom to see cute pictures of my kids.

Not that that’s a bad thing….

But, I wanted to thank each and every one of you who take time out of your day to read what I have to say, to share your opinions, and to interact with your fellow moms in such an uplifting way. There’s a great group of women who regularly share their thoughts here and I’m so thankful for you!

I, for one, have really enjoyed getting to know so many people through blogging. You’ve really blessed me.

Thank you!

Every once in awhile, I like to take a deep breath and ask for feedback. I know this isn’t a perfect place. I know there’s great room for improvement in helping moms and encouraging them “on the road to joyful motherhood.” And I know you can offer valuable feedback and insight into making this a better home away from home.

Would you mind filling out this reader survey? I don’t think it will take very long. But, it will help me gauge how I can better help you be a more joyful mom.

As an added little thank you, three readers who complete the survey will each receive a $10 giftcard to Starbucks.

Survey will be open until Sunday, September 5th, at 8 pm PST. Winners to be chosen at random and notified via email. Please respond within 48 hours of email sent or I may have to choose another winner.

– Disclosure: The gift cards are coming out of my pocket. I was not paid to publish positive comments. I think you guys rock!

You can leave a comment here if you want, but only those completing the survey will be entered in the giveaway.

Perfect timing, just in time for us to get our Pumpkin Spice Lattes!

PS — Love the ‘real life’ pics of your pantry. It’s nice to see that other people have real lives!

I’m an idiot and forgot to put this on my survey…..

What I’d like to see is more articles about time management. That’s where I struggle as I’m sure do many others. I know you have done some but those of us without the organization gene need to be hit over the head a little more. ;)

I’ve been so blessed and inspired by the blogs that you write. I “stumbled” across your good cheap eats website earlier this summer…but I really believe it was God directing me to you. I needed inspiration/creative ideas to live very frugally this summer, and I found that here. Loving your recipes…thank you!!

Thank you Jessica for this blog. It was a joy to fill out your survey and sorry if I’m long winded…haha, I don’t seem to know how to keep things nice and short :)

I, too am looking forward to those Fall coffees at Starbucks, yum!

I, too, have been very blessed and inspired by you! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been struggling through something only to have you write a post about it with just the information and encouragement I need. I’m sure it doesn’t make life any easier to add “writing and maintaining a blog” to the rest of your responsibilities but God is using you to touch many lives.

You shared Proverbs 11:25 with us and I would like to return it to you from the Message version “The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.”

May you be abundantly blessed!

Took the survey! The parenting and dessert question should have “an all of the above” answer. ;)

Hi. I don’t remember how I found you, I’d like to believe that God sent you my way. I am a mother of a 10 year old and a 7 month old. I have been helped by your blog immensely. This stay at home mom thing is new to me and takes some getting use to. However, with your words of wisdom its much better. Your blogs on being more joyful, and a “yes mom” are extremely helpful. My children and husband thank-you as do I. Please continue to keep up everything that you are doing. Thank-you

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
