Baby Love 2010

October 20, 2010

While my baby is now two years old, some of you are welcoming new little ones this year. So exciting! FishBaby FishChick2 loves baby dolls and it’s amazing to watch her take care of her babies. So cute!

Even though I’m not “nesting,” I well remember that special season of Life as MOM. Next week I’ll be hosting a special series all about babies, pregnancy, and early motherhood in general. I hope you’ll join us, whether you’re “in the family way,” hoping to be, or just loving on friends as they welcome their babies.

Series features:

So, pop in every day next week (or check back to this updated post) for all kinds of Baby Love.

:: This series is brought to you, in part, thanks to series sponsor Steribottle, the maker of ready to use baby bottles::

Oooh! I’m excited! We’re expecting #2 in March and it’s been a while since #1 arrived (he’s 5 1/2), so I’m a little rusty on all things baby. I can’t wait for next week!

perfect timing! B3 (Baby Boy Booth) is due on Monday, 10/25, so we’re nesting like MAD right now! i’m especially interested in anything you’ve got going about moving from a single-child household to a toddler + infant household. Big Brother is 2 1/2 and excited, and I really hope it stays that way!

I’m a new mom of 5 (baby #5 was born in August) and I’m constantly nesting and looking for balance in my motherhood. I can’t wait to see what you’ve got to say about it all!

I LOVE that you’re doing this! I’m a young(23) Wife & Mommy of 3. My babies are 7, 4, & 22 months. We’re hoping to complete our family with conceiving baby #4 in February..making my EDD in November 2011. My favorite way of learning new “tips, hints, & tricks” is from fellow experienced Mommy’s! Children are such a joy! :)
@Crystal-When we had our 2nd child(girl) our son had just turned 3, & when our 3rd was born our 2nd was 2 & a 1/2..so I’ve gone through this a couple of times. First, let me tell you it’s very heartwarming seeing your little one loving his/her baby brother/sister! So sweet! My advice would be just to really make him feel completely involved. They love to “help” with “their” baby! Explain everything you can, & in words best to his understanding. Most importantly, cherish every moment because time flies, as you know with your first..next thing you know this baby will be 2 & you won’t know where the time went! :)

This sounds awesome! I’m due December 24th with my second baby. My two little ones are going to be 12 months apart, so any advice you could give about handling 2 littles would be fabulous! :)

Sounds great! Our baby #2 is due Feb. 8, so I’ve got babies on the brain right now. I’m about halfway through a blog series called Babies on a Budget. I’m looking forward to hearing what you’ve got to say on the subject! Seems there’s always more to learn in that area.

bring it on!

We’re a few months away from welcoming baby girl#3. I’m excited….usually. I do have nightmares every so often concerning the labor/delivery. I nearly got myself sick with worry, thinking about the transition stage of labor. I look forward to it all being over. But I love the little baby stage….and a baby girl, at that!

@Shelah, I had to reply to your post, I am a mom of three girls and we’ve had such an awesome time over the past several years in our house! They are 8, 5, and 4 now and they are all SO close! It’s complete girlville in our house all the time, my poor husband has been outnumbered forever! ;) I wish you the very best with your girls! They are a blast!!

What fun, #4 (our first boy) was born two weeks ago. I am laughing thinking about my “prep” work before baby came. Lots of freezer meals that are now not usable for me because we are discovering that he is allergic to milk and soy – both of which are in almost all of those meals. Aaugh. Oh well. Looking forward the week. :)

My next door neighbors just welcomed their first, an adorable baby girl with a full head of hair last weekend. I waited as long as I possibly could stand it, but just had to make them dinner yesterday (I waited three days) for an excuse to get a look at the little angel. She is precious!

Baby #3 is days away from being born, nesting, praying, and trying to enjoy these last few days of just “the four of us” before our little lady comes!!!

Can’t wait to see/read what you have to say on the subject.

Hey! Baby Number Four due early December! Very excited to visit often and read up on your wisdom! My mother is also a mom of six, so I know how educated you ladies are! Thanks for everything!

This is great timing. Our family is finishing paperwork for our second adoption. While we don’t have a “due” date, we have to wait to be chosen by a birth family, we are already preparing and “nesting” in the house. We have a 3 year old who keeps saying we need a baby! LOL He really is too cute.
Any additional info and help is always welcome. Thanks!

This should be fun! I’m expecting #6 (our last, we think) in the spring. And since my oldest is only 7 1/2, I’m still very much in the baby-stages of mommyhood. Wisdom from experienced moms is always a blessing!

I’m so excited. I’m 10 weeks in with our first newborn, but I’m sure I still have tons to learn.
I’m looking forward to the comments and discussion too.
