Counting Stars – A New Album from Andrew Peterson

I love listening to music. Often it’s my husband playing guitar. Sometimes it’s old favorite albums. And every once in awhile we treat ourselves to a new album.

Most recently we purchased Andrew Peterson’s Counting Stars. We have been huge fans of Andrew Peterson since we saw his Behold the Lamb of God concert three years ago. He sings the song on this video that always makes me weep. And he has written some fantastic adventure stories for kids of all ages.

Counting Stars is full of songs that will touch your heart and inspire you to fight the good fight. This song, “Dancing in the Minefields” is particularly moving. So get a kleenex first.

The only way to find your life is to lay your own life down….

  1. Thanks so much for sharing about Andrew Peterson and his music. We have been fans for over 10 years now. So glad to see a shout out!

Did you know he also co-wrote a kids’ album with a friend of his named Randall Goodgame? Slugs and Bugs and Lullabies. We adults and fans of AP enjoy it, too.

Another gem of an album is Eric Peters’ CD Scarce. Our kids absolutely love it as much as we do — and it’s not supposed to be a kids’ album!

  2. So very beautiful!!

  3. I didn’t believe you about getting a Kleenex first, and now I am sniffling, and wiping and regretting not taking your advice. Beautiful song.

I was just recently introduced to Andrew Peterson’s music, and listen to “Behold the Lamb” almost every morning when I begin my time with the Lord. Thanks for the tip on the new album.

  4. That song is beautiful. It definitely rang true to this mom of 4 who married at the young age of 21. After almost 10 years of marriage it still takes work, but it’s worth it. Thanks for sharing the song.

  5. Just cried while washing dishes to Dancing in the Minefields before I read this post!! Need that song right now

  6. Wow. I love that song. Thanks so much for sharing someone new to listen to. :)

  7. Thanks for posting this. I’ve never heard of Andrew Peterson before, but Wow!!! What a great song. I’m going to have to check out some more of his music.

I have a new song I found this week by Bethany Dillon that I’m LOVING posted here: http://www.mommytopics.com/confessions/an-anthem-to-bring-us-back-to-gratitude

I hope maybe it blesses you like the Andrew Peterson song blessed me!

  8. Andrew Peterson rocks! My son even loves to listen to his music at bedtime. The Queen of Iowa is his favorite song. Great songwriter! And if anyone has not read his books (The Wingfeather Saga) don’t walk, RUN to your local bookstore!

    • Jessica Fisher says:
