Eat Your Veggies!

I’m finding myself hard pressed to get my kids to eat cooked veggies these days, especially as we explore new worlds and weird vegetables. Find yourself in the same situation?

Well, I guess we both need to read my recent article in Calgary’s Child Magazine about how to get your kids to eat more fruits and vegetables.

Isn’t it amazing what a little prep work does for a mama? Great read!

  2. Love that tip about having a tray of sliced fruits and veggies always stocked up! Luckily my daughter is still young enough that I don’t have this problem!! I was such a picky child though and even now when I eat veggies I pretty much defeat the purpose, like she said w/ the cheese sauce :) I prefer LOTS of butter salt and pepper though! Makes everything yummy! http://recipesmademyway.blogspot.com/2010/09/pan-fried-zucchini.html

  3. I wonder…Could you put a button for Goodcheapeats on your life as mom blog? (Maybe it’s there and I’m just blind or my fire wall is blocking it?) I looked all over for GoodCheapEats yesterday and couldn’t find it and of course today, I can remember what it is I wanted to look up on your food blog!

  4. We’ve been juicing. Spinach, chard, carrot, apple, pear & berries (blueberries mostly). The kids love it and are “drinking” the veggies.

  5. Great read! This is a constant problem in our house, as I have been a lifelong picky eater, too. Thankfully, at least, my husband and son aren’t nearly as picky as me and my daughters. :)

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
