Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. — Matthew 11:28
I’ve struggled recently with injustice. Not against me, per se. But, I’ve been reading and hearing about things that just don’t make sense. Children hurt or hungry. Laws that go unenforced. Criminals that go free.
I know the Lord never sleeps. I know that He holds all things in His hands. Yet, I also know that there are some things I don’t — or can’t — understand. I want to DO something, but I don’t know what.
My conclusion has been to pray. To pray for healing, to pray for justice, to pray for wisdom in how God might have me move my hands to DO something.
And then I pray that I could rest in Him, as He tells us to. To wait and to trust that He has a plan. And to rest.
