A Giveaway from MadeOn Hard Lotion

April 27, 2011

I have always struggled with dry skin. Dry, white little flakes constantly. That is, if I don’t do anything about it. And I confess, I’m pretty lazy when it comes to skin care. I really don’t like that sticky feeling on my hands after moisturizing.

But, as I age, I’m learning that it really does pay to moisturize and take care of your skin. So, I was really intrigued when I received some hard lotion bars from MadeOn. I wondered if using them would help me be more diligent about keeping my hands moisturized.

Some things I really like about these bars:

  • They come in these little tins that are cute as well as easy to transport.
  • They smell wonderful. Chocolate? Oh yeah!
  • They are made of very few ingredients, all of which I can pronounce: cocoa butter, coconut oil, and beeswax.
  • The bars themselves are solid, so you’re not likely to find your two year old painting herself with lotion.
  • Small and large sizes make it easy to keep one in your purse, one on your desk, and one in the bathroom.
  • There’s even a citronella and lavendar scented one to deter bugs. Hello, summer!

I love it that this lotion comes in bar  form because I can rub the bar on just the backs of my hands, not the palms, and avoid that sticky feeling I get from lotion. And that they are free of chemicals makes them all the more wonderful and convenient to use.

I’ve been really impressed with these lotion bars. They would make fabulous gifts for Mother’s Day, Baby or Bridal Showers, or even Graduations. The packaging is super cute, so you would definitely feel pampered receiving a little gift bag of them.

I’m not a big fan of constantly reapplying, I like products I can apply once daily. I use the Neutrogena Sesame Oil right out of the shower, it traps some of the moisture and it soaks right in. I also add Vaseline to my feet than apply two pairs of socks, it leaves my feet soft and smooth.
I carry a small tube of moisturizer for after washing hands out and moisturizer by the sinks at home. I find that applying moisturizer to wet skin seems to give the right amount of moisture without leaving me feeling greasy.

2 jennifer April 27, 2011 at 2:34 am

I have a really hard time keeping my hands moisturized as I am washing or hand geling them all the time(work in healthcare setting). I put a tiny amount of vaseline on my cuticles and rub around then follow with aveeno hand lotion. My hands are still frequently dry, but this does help.

3 Melonie K. April 27, 2011 at 2:42 am

Whenever I make something with olive oil, I take a wee bit of it and smooth it onto my elbows and cuticles – not TOO much, or else I’ll smell like dinner. ;-)

4 Cindy Voutila April 27, 2011 at 2:45 am

I have a hard time with moisturizing because I also dislike the feel of greasy things on my hands or skin. I used to have a handcream from Bath and Body that was silky. Due to finances being short, I no longer have any of it and now I end up looking at my dry scaly old lady looking hands and thinking I really need to get something…..

5 Sarah April 27, 2011 at 3:11 am

Vaseline liberally applies to “elephants” feet and left over night with a pair of socks works a treat.

6 Jennifer Ort April 27, 2011 at 3:18 am

I have to be consistent with moisturizing and I have to exfoliate first – especially my feet!

7 Melissa April 27, 2011 at 3:23 am

When I get out of the shower, I don’t dry off completely. I find that adding lotion to partially wet skin helps keep the moisture…not sure how it works, it just does :)

8 Eva April 27, 2011 at 3:31 am

When my skin is really dry, like in the winter time it’s so bad my hands crack and bleed, I use Chickweed salve.

Eva

9 Crystal Williams April 27, 2011 at 3:36 am

I still like to put on baby oil right out of the shower.

10 Jenny April 27, 2011 at 3:40 am

Keeping the lotion out on the counter in the bathroom helps me remember to use it! If I put it away…out of sight, out of mind!

11 Melanie April 27, 2011 at 3:43 am

For the chapped heal problem (sandal weather is coming), before going to bed use lotion very generously and wrap feet in saran wrap then put on socks. I am starting to use coconut oil also in place of hand lotion.

12 Brandy Fisk April 27, 2011 at 3:54 am

I use coconut oil for my lotion.

13 Lisa H April 27, 2011 at 4:02 am

I have a terrible time with my hands in the winter months. Our city water is very harsh and my hands repeatedly crack and bleed. My tip is to touch as little water as possible (but still stay clean, obviously). I wear gloves to wash dishes and scrub various items.

14 Carolyn April 27, 2011 at 4:06 am

I keep multiple bottles/tubes in multiple areas. The more I see it, the more I’m likely to apply moisturizer throughout the day.

15 Kellie April 27, 2011 at 4:07 am

I’m really bad about remembering to put lotion on. Using a home humidifier this past winter made a huge difference for my skin (not to mention my nose). In the winter, I do try to remember to use coconut oil for my face, however.

16 Carriede April 27, 2011 at 4:09 am

How do I keep my skin moisturized?? I don’t! That’s the problem. ;)

17 Fiona April 27, 2011 at 4:20 am

My hands get a dose of hand cream when I remember, usually last thing at night.
I have however created my own “Hand Rescue Recipe”….
In a small Tupperware tub, I mix a tablespoon of olive oil, a tablespoon of lemon dishwashing liquid, and a spoon of sugar.
Rubbed into my hands and feet, once a week, followed by a rinse under the tap gives me my super-soft skin back again!

18 Rachel April 27, 2011 at 4:21 am

I like to moisturize my feet liberally with lotion before bed and then put on my socks. I wake up in the morning with super smooth feet!

19 Karen April 27, 2011 at 4:23 am

I’ve got terribly dry skin as well. Hands and feet being the worst. So, when it gets bad, each night, I use a combination of petroleum jelly and then heavy cream on my feet, followed by socks, so that they can heal during the night. I wish I had an easy answer for hands and face though!

20 Sarah April 27, 2011 at 4:23 am

Well, let’s see… I have a bottle of lotion in each bathroom, one on each of our nightstands, one at my desk in the basement, one in my cubical at work, one in my classroom……

21 Amy g April 27, 2011 at 4:24 am

I use coconut oil, it works great and smells amazing.

22 Janey L. April 27, 2011 at 4:30 am

I have used Neutrogena’s Hand Cream in the past, and I am currently looking for a more natural option for skin care.

23 carrie April 27, 2011 at 4:34 am

Looks like a great product. I love that it’s natural, and the packaging is really cute!

I have really dry skin in the winter, and I had good luck this past year with a new lotion from the Vaseline Intensive Rescue line.

24 Leigh Fant April 27, 2011 at 4:39 am

I use vaseline at night. It helps but I still have dry hands during the day.

25 Adrienne @ Whole New Mom April 27, 2011 at 4:39 am

I have been using a great HOMEMADE JOJOBA OIL AND ROSE WATER

26 Adrienne @ Whole New Mom April 27, 2011 at 4:40 am

Oops – don’t know what happened there….

Anyhow, I use that jojoba oil and rose water facial cleanser that cleans and moisturizes at the same time. It really has helped to calm my skin down and it looks good. You can check it out on my site if you’d like. Thanks for the giveaway!

27 sheeba mathew April 27, 2011 at 4:43 am

For me and my toddler son, a good rub with organic coconut oil works wonders all through the year. Its not only for the hair as we traditionally do back home but also body, feet and even a swallow of it at times is good for you.

28 Merry Jo April 27, 2011 at 4:49 am

I use Dove bar soap for sensitive skin to wash my hands. My dermatologist said NEVER to use liquid soap because it dries out your hands so much. I agree, because I saw a difference in less than 24 hours!

29 Katrina Klauer April 27, 2011 at 4:53 am

I always have to moisturize straight out of the shower before drying off. I have really horrible Eczema.

30 Karen April 27, 2011 at 4:54 am

I leave out lotion so I remember to moisturize since I get dry skin too easily.

31 Kelly April 27, 2011 at 4:55 am

Using dish gloves is a huge help in keeping my hands from drying out… But I never do it so I slather on Vaseline or some other heavy cream and put cotton gloves on before bed. I’ve found that Aquafor is overpriced Vaseline, though as of late I’m hoping to switch to a non- petroleum cream bc the realization that it’s OIL creeps me out now.

32 Anne Marie April 27, 2011 at 4:58 am

I like to put on lots of lotion on my feet and hands before bedtime and then sleep with socks on my feet and gloves on my hands. Unfortunately they do not stay on all night – in my sleep I seem to pull off the gloves and socks but it does help!

33 Jackie April 27, 2011 at 5:00 am

I apply a thick lotion, like Neutragena, at night on my cracked heels and put on socks.

34 Cindy April 27, 2011 at 5:00 am

We have an awful time with eczema at our house and I make our lotion with coconut oil and beeswax. Most lotions have alcohol that burns my kiddos terribly sensitive skin. I would love to try this!

35 Beth April 27, 2011 at 5:02 am

I use coconut oil

36 Veronica April 27, 2011 at 5:05 am

I try to drink lots of water to stay hydrated, which leads to moisterized skin. But I always use lotion right after I shower.

37 Casie April 27, 2011 at 5:07 am

No real trick, I just make sure to put lotion on before bed every night!

38 Marissa April 27, 2011 at 5:07 am

I try to put lotion on after the shower. Not always good about doing this though!

39 Michele Laramay April 27, 2011 at 5:10 am

I simply slather my entire body and face every morning after I shower. That’s it.

40 Angeline April 27, 2011 at 5:10 am

I am a registered nurse and a Mommy, so whenever I can, I use hand sanitizer rather than washing my hands (only when no visible soil is present, of course).

41 Kristen April 27, 2011 at 5:14 am

My trick is to use this hard lotion from MadeOn. I LOVE IT. It works wonderfully. I’d love to win some more, and if I don’t, I’ll use the discount code to stock up on some more!

42 Shannon L April 27, 2011 at 5:17 am

This is an awesome idea! The biggest bonus is that I can toss this in my purse, or suitcase, and not worry about a huge mess.

I’m terrible about remembering lotion. And when I do remember, I’m a bit hesitant about using it due to the potential of those chemicals getting into dd2 mouth. Plus I hate that heavy, goopy feeling.

My biggest tip is to load up on lotion before bed. This way it has plenty of time to soak into my skin.

43 Vanessa April 27, 2011 at 5:20 am

I like putting on lotion before bed and when I get out of the shower.

44 Lyn April 27, 2011 at 5:23 am

I love everyone’s great ideas! I live with EXTREMELY dry skin and nothing much works for me. I have professional manicures weekly to tame my very dry hands and cuticles and constantly put on lotion. Trader Joe’s has a nice lavender sugar scrub I use in the bath for exfoliation and moisturizing.

45 Nikki April 27, 2011 at 5:26 am

I use lotion every night before going to bed. It’s the only time I can consistently remember to do it.

46 Jaime B April 27, 2011 at 5:33 am

I put coconut oil or lotion on as soon as I get out of the shower. I carry a lotion stick in my purse for while I’m out and about, but truthfully I don’t like the smell so I don’t use it much. I really could use a good lotion bar to keep in my kitchen to moisturize my hands as they dry out from washing dishes all day long.

47 Whitney Moore April 27, 2011 at 5:37 am

I wish I had some great trick but I just apply lotion after I shower. After reading the other comments, I don’t think I am doing enough!

48 Ellen April 27, 2011 at 5:39 am

at least every morning, I do my hands.
I should be better about doing other parts of my body…
This would be cool to win…

49 Linda April 27, 2011 at 5:42 am

when my hands are really dry I put vaseline on them and gloves at bedtime and by morning they feel soft

50 Charity L. April 27, 2011 at 5:44 am

I try to always put my lotion on after I shower while my skin is still wet.

51 amybee April 27, 2011 at 5:45 am

I keep some sweet smelling lotion on my desk at work and apply it when I notice my dry hands while using the computer.

52 CW April 27, 2011 at 5:53 am

I keep an unscented lotion by the sink for times when my hands are dry.

53 April L. April 27, 2011 at 5:54 am

This isn’t really a “trick,” but drinking water! We think of water for keeping thirst at bay, and know it’s important to stay hydrated in general, but I don’t think most of us realize how much it affects our skin. I’m always surprised at how much softer and springier my skin is when I’m fully hydrated.

54 Queen of the House April 27, 2011 at 5:59 am

I really don’t have a great trick for keeping moisturized. My hands get so dry in the winter, that I do try to use hand lotion on a daily basis. Would LOVE to try these products! :)

55 Jennifer M April 27, 2011 at 6:00 am

I like to apply lotion right after I get out of the shower.

56 Amber April 27, 2011 at 6:01 am

I put on lotion immediately after stepping out of the shower, while I’m still a little wet. It locks the moisture right in!

57 Andrea D. April 27, 2011 at 6:03 am

I try to moisturize the my hands once in the summer and spring a day but twice (once before bed) during winter and fall because of the dry weather.

58 Nicole J. April 27, 2011 at 6:05 am

I’ve found that the greatest trick to staying moisturized on the outside is being well hydrated on the inside!

59 Lucky April 27, 2011 at 6:07 am

I don’t really have a trick — I love lotion and I keep bottles in almost every room in my house!

60 Marilyn K April 27, 2011 at 6:08 am

I use my Norwex body cloth to wash my face- no soap or face wash. It works great – exfoliates gently and removes eye makeup without scrubbing. And no soap to dry out or strange chemicals! My hands are another story – 2 in diapers and one who needs help on the toilet and meals from scratch means washing hands a lot!

61 Sue D April 27, 2011 at 6:12 am

I put lotion on my skin right after my shower and at night I put a beeswax creme on trouble spots like my heels.

62 Lesley April 27, 2011 at 6:13 am

I try to air dry after a shower and not use lowest temperature of water in the shower that I can stand.

63 Sally Mcquaid April 27, 2011 at 6:13 am

My best trick is to reply directly after the shower while your skin is still moist. I feel like if I wait 10 mins, my skin dries out and I cant get it back.

64 Danielle April 27, 2011 at 6:14 am

I really want to try these! I’m aweful at make sure to put on lotion, but I have to keep mine out on the counter otherwise I forget to do it at all.

65 kathy f April 27, 2011 at 6:14 am

I apply lotion right after my shower, and keep lotion in every room to remind my to reapply.

66 Rebecca W. April 27, 2011 at 6:16 am

I keep lotion in almost every room in my house and apply as needed.

67 Kristi in CA April 27, 2011 at 6:18 am

I too am one of those that keep lotion bottles in every room! I also like to put lotion on my hands before I go to sleep. That helps a lot!

68 Tara April 27, 2011 at 6:21 am

I use Burt’s Bee’s milk and honey lotion right after I dry off from a shower, and it keeps the ‘flakies’ away! I love the idea of a bar lotion though, and never knew such a thing existed! Even if I don’t win one, I definitely need to check this out.

69 Hollye K. April 27, 2011 at 6:22 am

I too cannot stand the greasy feeling of lotion on my hands. I keep lotion on my nightstand. Every night before I go to sleep I apply a thick coat to my feet and to my hands and once I nod off into never never land it does it’s magic. :o )

70 Chandra April 27, 2011 at 6:23 am

I’ve used olive oil after shower/bath – but sometimes it leaves me feeling a little snackish – like wanting to eat a giant bowl of pasta :)

71 Kristen April 27, 2011 at 6:26 am

I sometimes put vaseline on my hands and feet at bedtime.

72 alison April 27, 2011 at 6:32 am

olive oil works perfect for my dry skin! I use it all the time. thanks for the chance to win :)

73 Vanessa April 27, 2011 at 6:37 am

I keep the lotion out on the counter so I can remember to put it on.

74 MelSam April 27, 2011 at 6:42 am

I use baby oil right after I take a shower.

75 ann k April 27, 2011 at 6:42 am

i use coconut oil to moisturize. That way i avoid nasty chemicals and also help in maintain the eco.

76 Lauren April 27, 2011 at 6:45 am

Oo i have been wanting to try this stuff. My tip is to put lotion on as soon as you get out of the shower

77 Jennifer April 27, 2011 at 6:50 am

I have always had a problem with dry skin all over. As much as I love to take super hot showers I don’t take them because it causes your skin to dry out even worse. I also make my own lotion out of baby lotion, vitamin E cream, and vaseline. I only have to apply it once a day and I am moisturized all day…and I smell like a baby. :)

78 Linda April 27, 2011 at 6:50 am

Lotion or baby oil right after a shower.

79 Brooke Kingston April 27, 2011 at 6:51 am

Oooh, these look delectable! My favorite trick for keeping my skin moisturized is dry brushing. I use a hard bristled bath brush on my dry skin every morning before showering. I “brush” my skin, always toward my heart to improve circulation. It removes all the flakes and makes me feel so invigorated. Works like a charm! =

80 Michelle B April 27, 2011 at 6:51 am

I’m like you and am not the best at moisturizing. So, I make sure I have little bottles of lotion at home and at work on my desk.

81 Deborah April 27, 2011 at 6:52 am

I put on lotion right out of the shower. Also I keep lotion next to the kitchen sink to remember to moisturize after washing dishes.

82 Emily April 27, 2011 at 6:52 am

My son and I both have sensitive, dry skin (he has eczema as well). Anyway – for me I use baby oil in the shower before I dab water off. And I also put lotion on throughout the day. For feet, vaseline and cotton socks is a good softener. I also use Burts Bees Cuticle salve. I do a lot. lol Anywhoo. thanks for the chance to win!

83 Emily E Lah April 27, 2011 at 6:52 am

I try to not use to much soap when showering. It can really dry out skin.

eesuiter (at) h0tmail (dot) c0M

84 Michelle April 27, 2011 at 6:53 am

I’m like you, I can’t stand the feeling of lotion on my palms. I’ve had a hard time this winter with my hands being dry and sore (my husband even made a comment on how old my hands look. Geez, thanks honey.) I’ve found that the Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream is semi-tolerable. I tend to put some on the back of my hands and rub them together to keep my palms clean.
I love the idea of this solid lotion!

85 Heidi April 27, 2011 at 6:56 am

I lotion up after I shower and I almost always have a small bottle of lotion in my purse. Thanks for the giveaway!

86 Heather April 27, 2011 at 7:00 am

I have awful dry skin on my shins. Any time I shave I put lotion on as soon as I get out of the shower before I do anything else..while the pores are still open and it has worked great for me.

87 Joslyn April 27, 2011 at 7:00 am

it’s not really a trick but to keep my hands nice, everytime i wash them -i put lotion on afterwards (usually Alba Botanica very emollient body lotion)

88 Ann April 27, 2011 at 7:01 am

Without fail, I put hand moisturizer on at bedtime and put on moisturizer on my poor feet every night then put on socks. This is the first winter I didn’t end up with cracked heels or hands!

89 Jenny April 27, 2011 at 7:02 am

I keep a small dish of coconut oil out on the bathroom counter. Right after a bath or shower I can rub some on and crawl into bed. Would love to try the MadeOn bars, and will probably order the citronella as Mother’s Day gifts.

90 Molly April 27, 2011 at 7:03 am

I put really thick lotion on my hands and feet, then put on socks on both hands and feet, then sleep all night. I wake up to baby soft hands and feet.

91 Joellen F April 27, 2011 at 7:04 am

My only “trick” for keeping my skin from drying out too much is drinking water. I’m pretty bad about it most days, but when I’m hydrated, my skin doesn’t dry out. :-)

92 Katie Bauer April 27, 2011 at 7:07 am

My trick is to have a small bottle of lotion and a tube of chapstick EVERYWHERE. I have one in my coat pocket, one in my car’s consule, one on my desk. If I don’t have numerous bottles everywhere I forget to put it on and them I am a flakey elephant all winter!

93 Erica April 27, 2011 at 7:08 am

I don’t do much to moisturize, but one thing I always do is rub the excess lotion on my hands and arms when I finish lathering up my kiddos after they take a bath or in the morning. I love the smell of baby lotion anyway! lol

94 Emily April 27, 2011 at 7:13 am

My most effective trick is prevention….never wash dishes with bare hands, always use gloves!

95 Carol April 27, 2011 at 7:15 am

I make sure lotion is always convenient–in my desk, next to each sink, in my purse, etc. If it’s there, I’ll remember to use it!

96 Karen April 27, 2011 at 7:17 am

I slather my hands with body butter just after climbing into bed for the night. Lotion applied during the day gets washed off so quickly, it doesn’t have much time to help. But applying at bedtime gives hours for it to work.

97 Kelly P April 27, 2011 at 7:20 am

coconut oil is great for dry skin!

98 Megan April 27, 2011 at 7:22 am

I moisturize and then put my feet in socks right away.

99 shannon pickering April 27, 2011 at 7:24 am

My trip is to moisturize after a shower or washing my hands, it seems to absorb a lot better. I love Vaseline’s intesive rescue lotion- I have sensitive skin, and it works well. but I also love organic lotions, and yummy smelling ones that are all natural..

100 Sara McCloud April 27, 2011 at 7:27 am

I keep a bottle of lotion at every sink so after I wash my hands I can take a quick shot of lotion as I walk onto the next task. :)

101 Shonda April 27, 2011 at 7:32 am

When I put on my moisturizing cream, I wait 3 minutes for it to soak in before applying makeup. This keeps my skin hydrated all day! I read that trick in a book.

102 Lynne B April 27, 2011 at 7:37 am

My hands are terrible in the dry weather of the winter so putting lotion on my hands before putting on my dishwashing gloves is like a mini spa treatment that takes no time at all.

103 JessieLeigh April 27, 2011 at 7:38 am

I’m so late in the game, but I finally caught on to coconut oil… love that stuff!

104 Ashley April 27, 2011 at 7:40 am

I just use lots of good lotion when they get really dry. I’ve been experimenting with what’s “good” for my skin.

105 Kimberly Baham April 27, 2011 at 7:42 am

The best way to get moisture into the skin and actually have your lotion/oil of choice absorb into your skin is to exfoliate first, a great way to do that is to use a handful of cornmeal and lavender buds (in the shower)…but for moisturizing my skin I take a warm bath with epsom salts, baking soda and lavender essential oil

106 angie April 27, 2011 at 7:42 am

every day, I apply lotion all over right after my shower. it locks in the moisture of the shower

107 Sarah @ Fat Little Legs April 27, 2011 at 7:47 am

I live in a very harsh winter state and its hard on my skin. I use Eucerin Creme every day before I go to bed.

108 Emily April 27, 2011 at 7:50 am

I started using dish-washing liquid with lotion added and it makes a huge difference in how dry my hands are. With regular dish-washing soap, my hands get SO dry and sore!

109 elizabeth April 27, 2011 at 7:55 am

I just discovered Curel’s anti-itch lotion and the stuff is fantastic!

110 Holli April 27, 2011 at 7:56 am

I lotion and then put socks on. Keep lotion is plain sight, it does me no good under the sink. We have also started to incorporate olive oil in our moisturizers we use.

111 marisa April 27, 2011 at 7:59 am

As soon as any of us steps out of the bath we get all lubed up with creme. We have excema in our family and this helps keep it at bay.

112 Elizabeth Sue April 27, 2011 at 8:00 am

I use coconut oil instead of lotion. It can seem kind of greasy, but I just blot it off with a towel!

113 Erin April 27, 2011 at 8:02 am

I just lotion my hands after each time I wash them.

114 Diane April 27, 2011 at 8:05 am

I put on moisturizer as soon as I get out of the shower

115 susan April 27, 2011 at 8:05 am

using olive oil on my hands keeps them soft

116 Michelle P. April 27, 2011 at 8:07 am

I always try to put lotion on right after the shower. I also like to put lotion before bed, it absorbs better and lasts longer.

117 shaunta April 27, 2011 at 8:12 am

I keep lotion in the diaper bag and my purse…that way it’s always available.

118 Sara April 27, 2011 at 8:12 am

I love body butter! My hands are very dry from washing my hands so frequently at work.

119 Heather April 27, 2011 at 8:13 am

i’m awful at keeping my skin moisturized. i use lotion at night on my hands and arms and thats about it. i just don’t like to feel all greasy during the day. i should do a better job of it i guess…

120 Joanne April 27, 2011 at 8:18 am

I just try too keep tubes all over the house so I am inclined to use lotion on my hands!

121 Rachel Cantrell April 27, 2011 at 8:24 am

I keep a tube of lotion by every sink. When I wash my hands, I lotion. This works especially well in the kitchen where it seems I am always washing something LOL.

122 Jenn April 27, 2011 at 8:25 am

Lubriderm every night before bed.

123 Morgan April 27, 2011 at 8:26 am

Cocoa butter right after I shower works pretty well for me.

124 Stephanie April 27, 2011 at 8:28 am

Salt/oil scrub in the shower

125 Michele April 27, 2011 at 8:29 am

I use homemade goat’s milk soap. It doesn’t dry out your skin & it’s made with ingredients you know & can pronouce!

126 Amy N. April 27, 2011 at 8:32 am

I keep a bottle of lotion in the bathroom and on my dresser to rmind me to use it when I get dressed.

127 Jen Logan April 27, 2011 at 8:36 am

Actually MadeOn is a great lotion that has helped heal the painful cracks in my thumbs. Lot that stuff!

128 Karen April 27, 2011 at 8:36 am

I wish I knew something that really worked on dry skin…I’m just constantly reapplying lotion. This stuff sounds great though…I’d love to try it.

129 Carmen E. April 27, 2011 at 8:38 am

Normally I just put on A LOT of lotion right out of the shower…I have found that I usually have to use something on the more expensive side of things. I have recently used some coconut oil on my hands and love it! I just keep some by my kitchen sink to slather on after doing dishes.

130 Kasturi Kota April 27, 2011 at 8:39 am

I don’t have dry skin (still love to moisturise) but my husband does. Baby oil is great and so is Aveeno Exzema cream from the baby Aveeno line.

131 Sarah H. April 27, 2011 at 8:44 am

When my hands get really bad I slather a little lotion along with vaseline all over them, slip some gloves on and sleep like that. It’s amazing the difference it makes!

132 Leslie April 27, 2011 at 8:45 am

Drinking lots of water and using coconut oil as a moisturizer are my two best tips.

133 Melody April 27, 2011 at 8:46 am

I try to make sure to put some kind of lotion on every day.
Best when I do it right out of the shower, but as long as I get it slathered on – that is what matters.

Fun giveaway!
Thanks!!

134 Tina April 27, 2011 at 8:51 am

Moisturize after I get out the shower.

135 Becky April 27, 2011 at 9:02 am

I constantly have a tube of lotion with me and reapply 100 times a day it seems!

136 stephanie April 27, 2011 at 9:06 am

I didn’t read ALL the comments so I dont know if this is a repeat, but my moisturizing stradegy is simple. Moisturize right after a shower or bath. It helps lock in moisture more effectively. Finding a good moisturizer is important too. Would love to try this product!

137 Ann April 27, 2011 at 9:09 am

Whatever is next to my bed (hand cream, foot lotion…) Always looking for something which works.

138 karen April 27, 2011 at 9:09 am

I turned down our water heater! A not-so-hot shower doesn’t dry out my skin AND saves us money.

139 NutellaNutterson April 27, 2011 at 9:14 am

It might sound weird to some, but I have dry dry skin and the best thing for it is to NOT bathe every day.

Since I must wash my hands many times a day with my little one, I rub VitaminE in afterward.

140 Rebecca April 27, 2011 at 9:15 am

I try to put lotion on as soon as step out of the shower

141 Miranda April 27, 2011 at 9:16 am

I put aquaphor on my hands and lips at night

142 Jordyn Lessenberry April 27, 2011 at 9:20 am

I wash my face and use moisturizer every day. I don’t stay out in the sun longer than necessary. And I get plenty of fluids. All natural!

143 Jenica April 27, 2011 at 9:20 am

I try to put on lotion while my skin is still damp to trap the moisture!

144 Becki Foster April 27, 2011 at 9:22 am

I’ve always used Vaseline Intensive Care for hand and feet. Since a recent surgery it was recommend to use a vitamin E oil or cream on the scars. I found Vitamin E cream at Wal-mart and it smells so good I use it all over! I work in a school copy room and paper drys out hands terribly so we keep lots of lotion and apply it regularly.

145 Melissa April 27, 2011 at 9:29 am

I have a desk job and I always make sure to apply lotion before starting intense paper projects. Paper really takes a toll on your hands.

146 Lee April 27, 2011 at 9:31 am

I try to use soaps that won’t dry out my skin, recently we’ve been using Goat’s Milk soap. :)

147 Cluttered Mama April 27, 2011 at 9:31 am

I’m not the best at moisturizing, but every morning I use Alba face lotion on my face & neck. I also keep a bottle of Method’s “Squeeky Green” baby lotion on my desk, so that I can apply throughout the day. As I’m getting older I’m finding I need to lotion a lot more than I used to!

148 Lynn April 27, 2011 at 9:33 am

I use a body wash with shea butter. And then I make sure to moisturize as soon as I get out of the shower.

149 Kristiana April 27, 2011 at 9:34 am

In the winter, I love Burt’s Bees hand salve. I put it on right before bed and it soaks in as I sleep. Otherwise, I just have a daily regimen of cleansing and using moisturizers I know I like. They aren’t even expensive – they just work for me! I don’t wear makeup either, and while it’s totally just a personal choice and sometimes I wish I could “paint the barn” a little, I think it may help.

150 Heather Abbott April 27, 2011 at 9:34 am

Twice a week or so I apply lotion or vaseline to my feet and put on a pair of socks when going to bed. When I wake up the next day, my feet feel soft and terrific. I always use lip moisturizer before going to bed as well.

151 Renee April 27, 2011 at 9:35 am

Lotion a soon as I get out of the shower.

152 Amanda N April 27, 2011 at 9:37 am

I do not dry off before using lotion. I step out of the shower and just air dry for a minute or two while I brush my teeth. Then I put on lotion. I think that helps seal in more moisture.

153 april April 27, 2011 at 9:45 am

my jordan essentials deep moisturizing face lotion is a life saver!

154 Kristy April 27, 2011 at 9:46 am

I have learned that it helps if I drink enough water, which I am terrible at!

I have also learned that if my lips are chapped the skin all around my lips feels dry too, so I try to be good about keeping my lips covered.

155 Linda B April 27, 2011 at 10:04 am

My son had skin issues when he was an infant/toddler and when I mentioned it to our pediatrician, he told me that we basically lose all the moisture we absorb from bathing in the first 3 minutes after getting out. I took that to heart and now as soon as I get out of the shower I pat dry as quickly as possible and slather on my coconut oil everywhere.

156 SalBug April 27, 2011 at 10:05 am

Leaving your skin damp before applying moisturizer works great to trap the moisture. Out of the shower I leave behind some water droplets before applying, and as I wash my hands throughout the day I do the same thing.

157 Stephanie Sample April 27, 2011 at 10:08 am

I put lavender oil lotion on my feet at night. Putting socks over the lotion helps the moisture to set in.

158 Miranda April 27, 2011 at 10:10 am

I use body butter. It’s retains more moisture than regular lotions.

159 Rebecca Novak April 27, 2011 at 10:10 am

No real trick here… I just always carry lotion with me!! I have tons of the little bottles from Bath and Body in my purse and I apply lotion all day long!! =)
Winter is very hard on me and my psoriasis, so keeping my body moisturized is very hard to do!!

160 Brooke April 27, 2011 at 10:14 am

I like to put good old EVOO on my nails and follow up with a thick hand cream like, “look ma new hands.” I am always looking for more natural alternatives though so thanks for sharing this one!

161 Marilyn April 27, 2011 at 10:23 am

I, too, need to moisturize more often after frequent hand washing. I do faithfully apply lotion after my morning shower but my hands get really dry throughout the day!I would love to try these lotion bars!

162 jessica April 27, 2011 at 10:24 am

We use pure aloe it has natural moisturizers and healing agents I even use it on my face
i have very dry skin so it would be nice to have something i could bring with me when im on the go

163 Amy L. April 27, 2011 at 10:26 am

I wish I had a trick for keeping my skin moisturized… I’ve had the worst time finding a lotion that works well AND that I like. I was using a locally-made lotion bar, but they’ve retired and no longer produce it.

164 rose April 27, 2011 at 10:28 am

Believe it or not – Johnson & Johnson 24 hour moisturizing lotion. Seals in moisture like a glove no matter how many times I wash my hands!

165 Jennifer April 27, 2011 at 10:29 am

I lotion my feet and then wear socks, it helps but this would be lovely!

166 Amy April 27, 2011 at 10:33 am

I use thick lotion right after I shower!

167 Tammy April 27, 2011 at 10:41 am

I guess the one thing that helps is to apply a few minutes after showering..it helps seal in the moisture. Plus I apply before bedtime and this seems to help my dry itchy skin.

168 Teresa April 27, 2011 at 10:41 am

I moisturize immediately after shower and reapply to hands often during the day.

169 julie April 27, 2011 at 10:47 am

my hands get so dry and cracked in the winter! i found O’Keefes Working Hands cream in the paint department at lowes and it has been a lifesaver! Overnite, my hands are so much better.

170 Pamela J April 27, 2011 at 10:56 am

My moisture tricks are to keep the lotion in sight and drinking lots of water. What a fun giveaway!

171 Lynn April 27, 2011 at 10:56 am

I put on thick lotion before I got to bed.

172 Cindy April 27, 2011 at 11:02 am

Taking a good quality oil interanlly definately helps keep the skin soft. I also use a mixture of coconut oil, bees wax and vit e oil, with a few essential oils mixed in.

173 Susan April 27, 2011 at 11:02 am

I try, try, TRY to remember to moisturize my ageing face at bedtime!

174 Katie April 27, 2011 at 11:03 am

For my feet…I put on lots of cream and then socks :)
For my hands…I try to put on cream as I think of it, and right before bed….leaving my hands out of the covers to ‘dry’ since I don’t want it all over my sheets.
My skin is really dry.
These bars sound amazing!!

175 Jen Fitzpatrick April 27, 2011 at 11:08 am

When I’m not totally asleep before bed at night, I try to use a chapped hand cleanser after I wash my hands for the last time at night. Then I put on lotion and fall into bed!

176 Elena April 27, 2011 at 11:17 am

I think the best advice I’ve received is to put lotion on right after I get out of the shower. It seems to keep my skin moist longer.

177 Kimberly April 27, 2011 at 11:18 am

My favorite way to moisturize, hm. I’ve been working on that one. I have really dry skin and find that regular lotion is just about pointless as I’m dry just a few minutes later. My latest thing to try has been changing up what I use to clean my skin so it isn’t so stripped in the first place. It has helped, a little. But, I’ve heard great things about the lotion bars and hope to try them!

178 Becky April 27, 2011 at 11:19 am

Well, I always have trouble with dry skin. I try to drink lots of water and use Cetaphil lotion regularly. I have a hard lotion tube that I got from a craft fair last summer that I LOVE and I would LOVE LOVE to try these bars. Thanks!

179 Rebecca April 27, 2011 at 11:20 am

I exfoliate in the shower and apply body cream after I get out, while still a little damp. I have dry skin in the winter mainly.

180 Laura April 27, 2011 at 11:22 am

I frequently apply lotion and keep some by bed and by the sink to make it easier.

181 Cindy April 27, 2011 at 11:23 am

Unfortunately, I don’t moisturize anything but my face enough. Our son was super sensitive to moisturizers and I backed far away from most of them. The thing I do that probably rescues my hands from disaster is wear gloves for yard and garden work and the dishpan.

182 Alana April 27, 2011 at 11:27 am

I use coconut oil on my face and backs of my hands. The only problem is that my cat is crazy for coconut oil and tries to lick it off my hands.

183 Emily April 27, 2011 at 11:31 am

I leave lotion all over my house and even in the car. When my hands start to feel dry I try to put lotion on, but if I don’t see it I don’t use it.

184 Nora April 27, 2011 at 11:31 am

Use soap less often in the shower. Sometimes I end up showering more than once a day so unless I am really icky, I just rinse!

185 Hilary Richards April 27, 2011 at 11:32 am

I lotion every time I get out of the shower. I also lotion several times a day, especially in winter. I daily use facial moisturizer and it makes a big difference.

186 Carmen April 27, 2011 at 11:35 am

I too hate the feeling of lotion on the palms of my hands. I usually don’t have a tough time keeping moisturized, but that changed when my daughter was born and we were constantly washing. Now, we often use a hand sanitizer instead of soap. Also, I try to keep hydrated from the inside.

187 Naomi S. April 27, 2011 at 11:36 am

My favorite lotion is Lubriderm Daily Moisture with SPF 15 Lotion. I love the smell of sunscreen so when I get out of the shower I put some on my legs and arms right away. I read somewhere that warm showers take a lot of moisture from your body, so its important to put something on right away.

188 Cindy D April 27, 2011 at 11:41 am

Good old vaseline seems to help my hands, still looking for my feet…

189 Jennifer Foutch April 27, 2011 at 11:42 am

Lotion before bedtime!

190 Alaina April 27, 2011 at 11:53 am

I use coconut oil on the belly (so no stretch marks) and hands. My problem is usually the face – I don’t know what to use!

191 Deanna April 27, 2011 at 11:55 am

Umm, I’m actually horrible about keeping moisturized. I wait until my skin is dry and then hope that I remember to put something on. :-)

192 Nancye6 April 27, 2011 at 11:56 am

I’m constantly applying hand lotions but it’s only temporary, so I have some in every room!

193 Heather E. April 27, 2011 at 12:03 pm

I apply baby oil to my skin while I’m still wet after my shower and apply a good quality facial lotion to my face immediately after my shower or washing my face.

194 Judy April 27, 2011 at 12:05 pm

Lotion after a shower, like others have said, seems to help a lot.

195 Colleen April 27, 2011 at 12:08 pm

I use cream as soon as I get out of the shower!

196 Amy April 27, 2011 at 12:10 pm

I have no tricks – just dry skin, especially on my hands!

197 Ashley April 27, 2011 at 12:13 pm

I’m terrible at remembering to moisturize, but I do try to put lotion on after showering or before bed.

198 Magen April 27, 2011 at 12:18 pm

I use oil of olay’s in shower body lotion with shea butter. Works great with stretch marks too.

199 Pam Howard April 27, 2011 at 12:19 pm

I try to put lotion on my feet and socks before bed at least a couple of times a week.

200 Melissa April 27, 2011 at 12:19 pm

I have lotion EVERYWHERE so at least there’s a better chance I remember to use it!

201 Lisa April 27, 2011 at 12:24 pm

I keep lotion in every room of the house. Whenever I was my hands, I put lotion on as well. If I have too much? I wipe it on my face.

202 jen April 27, 2011 at 12:24 pm

I keep a bottle of lotion right next to my computer and will moisturize all day! A great way to keep your skin moisturized is to drink plenty of water too!

203 jamie April 27, 2011 at 12:36 pm

I put petroleum jelly on my hands b4 bed. When i wake in the morning my hands r well moisturized.

204 Sarah April 27, 2011 at 12:43 pm

I take a bath in baking soda in the winter and it makes my skin so soft and moisturized.

205 briana April 27, 2011 at 12:49 pm

My trick to moist skin is to use MadeOn Lotion bars. no joke. ;)
I was introduced to this product through Heavenly Homemakers blog, ordered the product right away and have LOVED it.
I’m running low on my inventory, though. So, I’d love to win some more.
My kids have excema and this helps a lot.

206 Courtney April 27, 2011 at 1:02 pm

I moisturize right out of the shower. Moisturizing is not an option in AZ! PS…I love the MadeOn lotion bars for my feet. My heels are beautiful and soft and always ready for my flip flops!

207 Gabrielle April 27, 2011 at 1:06 pm

Ah, I need this for my eczema!

To keep my skin moist, I try to remember to put lotion on after getting out of the shower or after washing my hands with warm water, since it’s absorbed more quickly.

208 Kathryn April 27, 2011 at 1:09 pm

I’m not great about using lotions. I usually remember about the time that my hands are starting to feel tight and dried out! But, having several travel sized lotions throughout the house makes it more convenient to use lotion when I do think of it!

209 Laura April 27, 2011 at 1:13 pm

I use a homemade sugar/olive oil scrub on my hands. They feel so soft after I use it!

210 Lisa April 27, 2011 at 1:17 pm

Applying lotion right out of the shower helps lock in some of that moisture!

211 Melanie April 27, 2011 at 1:23 pm

I always have dry hands in the winter due to washing them many times throughout the day with two little ones at home. I usually have to resort to putting a layer of lotion on at night and then rubbing in vaseline on top of this.

212 misty gorman April 27, 2011 at 1:24 pm

i put vaseline on my feet, then put on socks at night. i like to use olive oil on my cuticles when they are dry.

213 Amanda April 27, 2011 at 1:27 pm

We’ve been using Coconut Oil. Works great for baby’s eczema and cradle cap!

214 Carleen April 27, 2011 at 1:38 pm

I usually apply Neutrogena Body Oil right after I get out of the shower.

215 Amanda April 27, 2011 at 1:40 pm

I wash my hands so often during the day – I just make sure to use lotion after each time I wash up.

216 Tanya Fletcher April 27, 2011 at 1:47 pm

I use good-quality moisturizer as the cheapie stuff often doesn’t work as well for me. Then I can use less and get better results.

217 Sarah B April 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm

Hmm, I have some good crack cream that I apply at night…seems to work ok.

218 Carrie April 27, 2011 at 2:07 pm

Instead of washing my face every night with soap, I cleanse with olive oil and a tiny bit of Castor oil. Does the trick for me in keeping my skin hydrated.

219 brook April 27, 2011 at 2:25 pm

When I am cooking, I rub a little extra coconut oil on my skin when I am done, usually out of a measuring cup or something!

220 Hope April 27, 2011 at 2:32 pm

I use Gold Bond lotion. My hands get very dry, especially during the winter.

221 Lana April 27, 2011 at 2:37 pm

I use lotion constantly :) .

225 Amy April 27, 2011 at 2:47 pm

MadeOn lotion bars are the best thing I have found for keeping my hands moisturized…my supply is getting low so I’d love to win this giveaway.

226 Elizabeth April 27, 2011 at 3:12 pm

I put lotion only on the backs of my hands (not my palms) so that I don’t have to deal with the sticky feeling. I just rub the backs of my hands together until it soaks in. This provides an incentive for me to moisturize my hands more often during the day.

227 Joyce April 27, 2011 at 3:12 pm

After a shower or bath I use baby oil smooth all over and then put on pj’s or clothes and make sure you put on socks and gloves for the hands if done at night time!

228 Amanda April 27, 2011 at 3:35 pm

My trick for keeping my hands moisturized is to always use gloves when I wash the dishes. And I usually go one step more and apply a thick coat of lotion before putting the gloves on-I get the dishes done and my hands end up soft!

229 Kelly April 27, 2011 at 3:44 pm

Lotion, chapstick

230 Amanda Y. April 27, 2011 at 3:44 pm

Always put on lotion fresh after shower when my pores are open!

231 Natalie Q. April 27, 2011 at 3:55 pm

I keep lotion in a pump bottle right next to the soap in the bath and kitchen. That way every time I wash and dry, I also moisturize.

232 Denise April 27, 2011 at 4:34 pm

Every day, without fail, I lotion up. And I moisturize my face nightly and in the morning.

233 Betsy April 27, 2011 at 4:43 pm

I enjoy using vaseline and anything with shea butter.

234 Emily @ Our Frugal Happy Life April 27, 2011 at 4:52 pm

235 Krissa April 27, 2011 at 5:21 pm

I make body oils with a carrier oil and some essential oils for scent.

236 Theresa April 27, 2011 at 5:40 pm

I use neosporin on my cuticles

237 cindy April 27, 2011 at 6:27 pm

I swear by GoldBond lotion – I buy the sample tubes and stash them everywhere so there’s always one handy

238 Julie April 27, 2011 at 6:31 pm

I lotion up my body just before bed every night to keep it moisturized. Making it part of my bedtime routines means I actually get lotion on at some point rather than trying to remember and forgetting and then realizing I have such dry skin.

239 Alison April 27, 2011 at 6:48 pm

Moisturize right out of the shower!

240 Heidi F April 27, 2011 at 7:14 pm

I use Aquaphor on my really dry spots and bathe with bath oil

242 Erin April 27, 2011 at 7:50 pm

Lotion! This looks wonderful!

243 Sheri April 27, 2011 at 8:08 pm

I have horrible dry skin and I am the worst at moisturizing. It does not help to live in a cold climate. My hands alone probably age me 3o years! I don’t have any good tips, but I have been wanting to try these bars! Thanks!

244 Elizabeth M April 27, 2011 at 8:31 pm

I keep a tube of Arnica hand balm by my computer station so I remember to reapply it daily. It not only takes care of moisture but it also adds a layer of protection against more moisture loss.
gadallia@yahoo.ca

245 jessica April 27, 2011 at 8:42 pm

bag balm is an old farmers secret…and corn huskers lotion

246 Sara April 27, 2011 at 8:45 pm

248 Jennie Fiumefreddo April 27, 2011 at 9:01 pm

251 Carol D. April 28, 2011 at 5:36 am

I moisturize after every shower, use lotion every time my hands are in the water (lots!), and take fish oil to see if that helps from the inside! :)

252 Heather April 28, 2011 at 5:50 am

I tend toward dry skin, liberally applying lotion/moisturizer all over prior to going to bed seems to help most.

253 Alisha April 28, 2011 at 6:19 am

I use bag balm on my hands during the winter and then put gloves on for the night and that takes care of the problem.

254 amanda April 28, 2011 at 6:20 am

We use a lot of lotion during the winter.

255 Mar H April 28, 2011 at 6:42 am

I apply lotion right out of the shower – and then put socks on my feet. My heels tend to get super dry so I’m targeting them so I can wear summer shoes!

I think its key to drink lots of water. I try… but not always as much as I should. Also watch out for hand sanitizers with alcohol will dry out your hands terribly. Lotion up while still damp and cream on feet with socks to bed.

I use a tiny bit of jojoba oil on shower damp skin. It only takes a little and it absorbs pretty quickly.

I also have a hard time keeping my hands moisturized since I am constantly washing them. I apply lotion several times during the day and just before bed I use a beeswax lotion to work during the night.

259 Tracey April 28, 2011 at 9:19 am

I use moisturizer twice a day and try to apply it while my skin is still moist from the shower.

When my skin gets really bad, I’ll put on vaseline and gloves at night. Usually I’ll do cetaphil. The solid lotion sounds very interesting. Never heard of it before!

I only use conditioner on my curly hair. It has made a world of difference and my hair is fantastic.

262 amy April 28, 2011 at 11:40 am

olive oil…
I frequently use it to cook…and if it drips on my hand, I just rub it in, instead of rubbing it off. Works great!

263 Kelly Hess April 28, 2011 at 11:59 am

I put on hand lotion every night before bed!

264 Lisa April 28, 2011 at 12:33 pm

I take shorter showers.

265 Sarah April 28, 2011 at 2:56 pm

I use the oil cleansing method for my face, and I often use it on my hands as the moisture effects are wonderful. Unfortunately, they don’t last more than a few hours.

266 Katy P April 28, 2011 at 2:57 pm

I apply lotion as soon as I get out of the shower & use a moisturizing body wash

267 Kate April 28, 2011 at 4:05 pm

I try to make sure I stay hydrated throughout the day and I put lotion right next to my deodorant so that I remember to use it every day.

My skin gets really dry, especially in the winter. I also have a mild case of eczema between my fingers. I keep a bottle of Gold Bond Ultra Healing lotion on my desk at work. Every time I have to wash my hands, I immediately put on some lotion. This keeps from getting that terrible dry skin feeling!

269 Mallory April 28, 2011 at 7:13 pm

One trick I learned recently is to blast yourself with cold water after taking a shower. This causes all your pores to close and locks moisture in. It isn’t comfortable, but it seems to work!

270 Colleen April 28, 2011 at 7:41 pm

I suffer from really dry skin and really hate the “greasy” feeling which is why my hands remain so dry. I wish I had a secret to keep them better moisturized, but I don’t. I sure would like to try this product to get some improvement for my terrible looking hands.

I live in the Sonoran desert so it is almost impossible to keep my skin moist with the constant onslaught of dry heat. Besides trying to limit my sun exposure, I apply moisturizer frequently and always apply a good lotion at night.

I moisturize my face every morning to keep it from becoming too dry. In the winter at bedtime I often need to put thick lotion on my hands and then wear gloves while I sleep. Otherwise my hands get incredibly dry.

273 Andrea Watts April 29, 2011 at 8:02 am

I put lotion on my hands and then put gloves on and leave it on overnight.

274 Natalie B April 29, 2011 at 10:45 am

Using moisturizer right after my shower when my skin is still damp… and I use bag balm and slippers on my feet at night when my feet are feeling extremely dry and cracked!

275 Kerrie McLoughlin April 29, 2011 at 12:08 pm

I keep lotion all over the house and in the diaper bag, in the minivan, etc. When I apply conditioner to my girls’ hair, i rub the rest into my hands.

276 Jessica H April 29, 2011 at 1:44 pm

I like to use conditioner on my skin when I take my showers. I wash up then put conditioner on and finish everything else {hair or whatever} before I wash it off. It seems to help me anyway.

277 Staci A April 29, 2011 at 6:34 pm

I don’t have many tricks and have constantly dry skin. For my feet though, I slather lotion on before bed and put on some thick socks. By morning, they are so much softer.

278 Trisha April 30, 2011 at 3:43 am

Lotion, lotion, lotion.

I learned something last week. Did you know that soy candles (particularly from private candle makers) can also be used as a fantastic lotion? I have a small lavender candle made by a company called Napa Valley Bath Co. It feels so wonderful on my hands, particularly after they are dry from washing dishes and kids all week!

280 Sara G. April 30, 2011 at 11:15 am

Like to use coconut oil, or Cetaphil. Been looking to try Shea butter, but haven’t found any at the stores I shop at yet!

281 Laurinda Wheeler April 30, 2011 at 11:38 am

Well, I don’t have any tips…I am terrible at remembering to use my lotion! I go through stints where I notice how dry and “old” my skin is looking so I will be vigilant for a day or two! The last time I was consistent was when I had a heavenly smelling lotion my boss had brought me from Costa Rica…it was bliss putting it on!
Hoping to win this b/c it sounds delicious, perhaps a motivator to get me back on track!

oh fun! i really like crabtree & eveleyn hand cream. it’s pricy but i ask for it as a gift and a little goes a long way!

283 Terri H April 30, 2011 at 9:10 pm

I put on lotion on heavily on my hands and then put on old socks before bed.

284 Mary May 1, 2011 at 6:13 pm

The only thing that keeps my hands from cracking during the winter is Neutrogena Norwegian Handcream.
