Giving gifts can often be just as fun as getting them. In fact, I’ve found that when I take the attention off myself and try to bless other people, that the whole season is lots more enjoyable.
Yesterday I shared five frugal gift ideas that I have made for friends and family over the years. From now until December 24, we’ll be sharing frugal ideas for gift giving.
DIY Coupon Book Instructions
Making your own coupon book is a great way to give a custom gift. It can be as extravagant or as budget-friendly as you like. You only need a few paper craft supplies and a list of activities you want to gift.
It takes just minutes and a few household ingredients to mix up a batch of Lavender Milk Bath. Perfect for relaxing or giving as a gift, this homemade milk bath is super frugal and a great way to DIY on a dime.
Create a photo collage of letters to send a message or create fun artwork for the wall. Last year I shared with you the idea of capturing letters that you find in everyday objects and presenting them in framed art work for the wall. It’s not a “new” idea, but I still like it. When…
Adding a new ornament to your collection every year is a fun holiday tradition. You can make a memory at the same time with these Christmas ornaments you can make yourself. One of the things I love about decorating the Christmas tree is how many memories the tree holds for me. Our Christmas ornaments are a…
Remember the easy, peasy gingerbread and Christmas tree gift tags I shared with you awhile ago? Afterward I realized how cute they would be to use as place cards for your holiday dinner. How fun! The base is similar to the base that I used for the flower place cards back at Easter time. If…
Learn how to make a simple dress-up skirt from Life as MOM contributor Janel. This is a great way to make a piece of costume when you can’t find just what you need. All photos: Janel A few years ago, my sister Jamie lent me her sewing machine for a project that I was working…
Tired of giving gifts that become clutter six months later? Yeah, me, too. I’m on a mission to have clutter-free stocking stuffers for Christmas. Stocking stuffers are one of the highlights of our Christmas morning. We open stockings first. They are the start of the day’s fun, if you will. A few summers ago when…
After I read your post on pampering yourself at Thanksgiving, I decided to give a “spa gift basket” to my sister-in-law and maybe some others in the family. I have recently stumbled upon someone in my town who makes soaps, lotions, lip balms, and more. I love her products. They are pricier than if I bought something generic at Wal-Mart, so I can’t get her much. But in a nice basket, those few things are going to look great. Plus there are the many weeks of nasty ingredient-free cleansing and moisturizing that she will get.
Thanks for sharing a great list of ideas! Good inspiration!

Sounds like a great gift idea!
