March’s Good Cheap Eats

Need some good cheap eats? I gotcha covered.

March flew by in the blink of an eye for me. I think that was because I was so busy troubleshooting the pain in my hip and back. If you’ll remember, I tried a whole foods diet as my first line of defense. Well, my second, after traditional medicine didn’t really care to do anything but prescribe a drug.

Anywho…. foods been a big focus of my life for the last 31 days. Here’s what’s been going on over at Good Cheap Eats for the last month.

  1. I’ve been dying to make bourbon bacon marmalade.

    Yes, that’s right.

Liquor and bacon, combined into one tasty spread. I might try that this spring.

Oh…and figuring out some healthy, interesting, frugal, cheese-free salads would be nice, too.

And making anything “buffalo”. As in buffalo chicken, buffalo ranch crackers/pretzels, buffalo chicken soup…

And how to make green veggies tasty for my kids. My picky and overly skinny kids are being knuckle-headed about their veggies…

And improving my homemade bread (pitas especially). I have RA so kneading/shaping dough isn’t much fun. And my 4-year old isn’t really old enough to help.

Yeah, that’s a lot to figure out and do.

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
