12 Days of Christmas

12-days-of-christmas-giveaways-300

This year, I’ve been trying to be more thankful, instead of expectant, when it comes to Christmas. I want to be the person I want to be all year long. It’s a way for me to battle the gimmes, the blahs, and the ghosts of Christmases Past. This year, starting on Christmas Day, I’ll be sharing 12 days of giveaways, featuring some of my very favorite gifts, goodies, and experiences.

There are no sponsors, other than me and my sweet husband, partnering with me to thank YOU, for being a loyal Life as MOM reader, and more importantly, for being the MOM that God has given to your children.

You might not get accolades on the home front day in and day out, but I want YOU to know that what you do is valuable. Your life as MOM matters.

These gifts are a small token of my appreciation to YOU for fighting the good fight.

Pop in every day starting December 25 for your chance to win some small, but fun prizes. I can’t wait to give you some of my very favorite things!

  4. Thanks. :)

  5. I would just like to take just a moment of your time, to let you know I have found your site full of inspiration, but more than that I get the feeling that even though your life may not be as big a struggle as others less fortunate, You come across as a very caring individual and I would like to say. one mom to another. thank you. elaine

  6. I took a break from reading blogs for awhile, but now I’m back to yours and The Busy Mom. I find both of them very encouraging and humble. That’s so sweet of you to do this, and I hope you’ll have a peaceful Christmas season this year. I’ll pray for you and your family.

    • I noticed you were gone. Glad you’re back! Thanks for your prayers! We’ve got some crazy plans for the new year, so we could use them.

      • I was just burned out on too much Internet. Also, I think your mom blog is more on target for me than the food blog. I’ve been in dinner time survival mode the past year, and I can’t handle anymore ideas of great things I don’t have time or energy to make. :-) I’ve printed out plenty of your recipes, but it’s the implementation I need to work on. Yes, I will definitely pray.

        • I get that. Too much virtual, and not enough reality. Glad I can help. Your comment really got me thinking about how to help folks with the implementation… recipes are a dime a dozen, aren’t they. It’s how to make it happen that matters.

    • Also, I’ve been taking your suggestions for Christmas activities. We were already doing The Jesse Tree, but now I want to try collecting ornaments we use each year. We just made some this year. Also, I am planning to get the cookie cutters. My last investment of this kind, is that I’d love to get a kids nativity set. Thanks for the ideas.

  7. I’ve gleaned so much from your blog, I can’t imagine that you need to give more. But I can not wait to see what it is.
    Blessings,
    Em

  8. How kind of you. It’s like I tell my kids… it’s better to give than to receive. Now I can show them a REAL example!

  9. How fun and thoughtful!! Thanks, Jessica! Love this blog and how u keep it real ;-)
    Merry Christmas!
Oh- I still refer people to the “how I lost 10 lbs in 10 min” post!! ;-) hilarious!

I’m very excited for this! You are so awesome!

  11. I look forward to both your blogs. Love the food blog. With 4 kids, two with peanut allergies I find your blog cry helpful. Thank you

  12. I am filled with anticipation. Makes me feel like a little kid again…. I love your site. It has been a great joy and a big encouragement. Merry Christmas

  13. I am trying to focus on being more grateful and less expectant too. :)

  14. I don’t see a blog about Day 8. Did I miss it?

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
