This month, show your favorite bloggers how much you appreciate what they share day in and day out. Life as MOM contributor Prerna [3] has some ideas on how to do just that.

Valentine’s Day is in the air and whether or not you celebrate it, February is a great month to renew our love for friends, family and of course, spouses and children. The year is a month-old and chances are we’re getting caught up in the everydayness of life and the heady buzz and fuzzy warmth of the holidays is fading fast.

Yes, February is a good month to revive all those warm fuzzies.

While we are thinking up ways to show how much we care for those who live with us and those who we meet in person, let us also not forget those who invite us into their lives every day, week or month, who share with us with warmth and honesty their lives and their loves, who take time out of their day to make our every day a little bit brighter, saner and simpler. A blogger. A mom, a woman, a person.

In a recent Facebook conversation {love those, don’t you?!} with a blogger I truly admire and respect, I was surprised and admittedly a little sad to hear that she puts in a lot of work for very little financial returns.

Yes, while it may seem that bloggers are the new whatever, they really are just like you and me. They work incredibly hard, often spend sleepless nights battling tech troubles or finishing a project they’ve committed to and while some of them may get book deals, big endorsements, or loads of sponsorship opportunities, the majority of us…don’t.

I’m not sharing all this for a pity party but to pull back the curtain that often seems to hang between us and create a rosy hue that really is just blood, sweat, and tears.

This February, how about we commit to showing a little love to those whose words inspire us, lift us up, give us clarity, courage or just a little bit of calm in a day that’s truly crazy?

Here are 5 simple, no-cost and low-cost ideas to help you get started:

Read… Then Comment and Share

Yep. It’s awesome that you take time out of YOUR day to read what we bloggers have to say. If you’d just spend a few more minutes and leave a thoughtful comment or just share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest, it would mean so much!

Buy a Blogger’s Product or Service…IF It Resonates with You

Many bloggers now offer their own products and services. From paper goods to handmade clothes and accessories to eBooks and Kindle books to gorgeous cakes to photography sessions. The next time you need something, check out if your favorite bloggers offers those products or services and then, buy from them.

Email Them and Tell Them You Care

A short and sweet email or better still, snail mail note to tell them that you appreciate them is a delightful way to show that you value them , their work, their words. Easy, economical and yet means SO much!

Use Their Affiliate Links

You know how many bloggers have ads on the site or links to Amazon or other sites in their post and let you know that they’re affiliate links? How about the next time you need to order school supplies from Amazon or get some cards from TinyPrints, you use the links on a blogger’s site. They make a bit of change and you get to do your shopping at no extra charge but with the feel-good fuzzies that you’re supporting them!

Be Kind

Finally, if nothing else, be kind. Be loving. Be thoughtful in your comments, your emails to them. Be supportive. There is a mom, a dad, a person behind that blog. Someone who struggles just like we do. Someone who gets overwhelmed and exhausted, just like you and I.

Someone who’s summoning up all the courage they can to share their life and lifestyle choices with you, without ever having met you. Scary, huh! But they still do it. So, this year, let’s be non-judgmental and more loving of the blogger who shares her real food journey and struggles or the blogger who tells us about that overflowing pile of laundry that’s overwhelming her.

Will you show a blogger you love and care for them and what they do, this Valentine’s?
