Flowery Things to Make with the Kids (Craft: Flower Hat)

Flowery Things to Make with Kids (plus Flower Hat Tutorial) - May Day is May 1st. While not a holiday in any true sense of the word, it can be a fun occasion to share flowers with friends and family.

When I was a child, May 1st was an occasion to ding-dong-drop some flowers on your friends’ door. May Day, as it came to be known, has an interesting and varied history. Since I was born in May, I looked at it as a sign of good things to come. Now that the FishMama Trifecta has been instituted, it is evermore a fun little milestone on the calendar.

Spring has sprung in most of the northern hemisphere. Consider this week an opportunity to do some flowery things with the kiddos, whether you call it May Day, or not.
