Weekly Meal Plan to Print & Cook #5 – On the Go Meals

Spring activities are in full spring, meaning rushed dinners and busy nights. Take the load off with this easy meal plan to print and cook.

I don’t know about you, but with spring in full gear, meal times are a little crazy around here. I’ve had several moms with kids in sports and activities say the same thing. And heck! Even if you don’t have “activities” that require your attention, once the weather starts to warm up — and it will — you don’t really want to spend a lot of time inside.

At least I don’t.

Neither do you want to spend a lot of money or calories on fast food. That’s why it’s imperative that you have an “on the go” menu at the ready. Try this week’s free printable meal plan on for size.

Not only do you get kid-friendly meals, but you also get dinners that are easy to make and serve (ie casseroles and crockpot) or things that can easily be packed to take on the road, to the rink, or to the field.

This week’s menu includes some of my kids’ all-time favorite meals, so I know I won’t have to battle to get folks to eat up. Total win.

Weekly Meal Plan to Print & Cook #5: On the Go

Today I’m sharing Weekly Meal Plan #5. You’ll need to print out each of the recipes as well as the meal plan and grocery list. After that, you’re good to go.

An asterisk indicates a meal that is freezer friendly, so feel free to make it well in advance and freeze or store any leftovers in the freezer for another night.

    I love the term Packable Meal!

    We are in a similar boat. Soccer practices are at 5:30 pm on Mondays, and games are on Tuesdays, often at 5:30 pm. With my husband’s work schedule and location compared to our house and the soccer fields, he has to meet us at soccer (he’s the assistant coach). That made dinner as a family a major challenge until I decided to try doing picnics. Not being a sandwich lover, I try to be creative with our picnics at the soccer field. I’ve taken hamburgers (patties in a thermos and then put them together there), homemade pizza, deli fried chicken, etc. Some of our favorite meals for the picnics I’ve shared on my blog…

  2. This looks like a winner plan to me. We start lacrosse any day now and our dinners will be on the go as well. Can’t wait to give this a try!

  3. Well it looks like I’ll be using parts of your plan for this week. I made the sub wraps yesterday using what I had on hand and they were mighty tasty. I served them with raw veggies and dip.
    I did enchilada stacks today. I was to lazy to roll the enchiladas so I layered them instead till I ran out of the meat mixture. I covered the top tortilla in sauce and cheese and heated it in the oven till the cheese melted. I am glad I fixed it this morning cuz the high today was 93. I reheated it in the mircowave and cut it like pizza. I’ll do the bread and potato salad on Sunday for Mother’s Day to go with the steak we will be having.
