As Mother’s Day approaches, I’m so glad to be sharing this next giveaway with you.

Do you like to drink tea? Find yourself on the road cup in hand? Want a little something special to have a tea moment? Then this travel tea glass from Libre Tea is perfect for you!

Traditional tea cups aren’t too handy when you need to man the carpool or run to playgroup. And while travel coffee cups can sure fill the need in a pinch, it’s nice to have somethings a little more elegant, a little more dainty than your everyday chunky mug.

I love the sleek design of this glass and the gentle etching on the steel lid.

Libre Tea recently released their “big gulp” version of their glass’n poly glass that I reviewed last year. From Libre Tea,

The Libre Tea glass ’n poly large is the ‘big gulp’ of tea with a 420 mL capacity. It has a health-conscious glass interior for fresh taste and a durable polycarbonate exterior for ‘on the go’ durability. The stainless steel tea filter is surrounded by BPA free polypropylene as is the lid interior. Can be used 2 ways to brew and travel with loose leaf tea.

This glass from Libre Tea is perfectly designed for brewing loose leaf tea. There are several videos on their site to show you exactly how to use the glass safely. If you don’t read directions very well {waves hand wildly}, watching the videos is a must.

You can either place the tea in the filter, pour water in, then cap the glass, and — get this — flip it upside down. Brilliant. Just remove the screw-on filter to drink your tea.

Alternatively, you can place the tea in the glass, pour in the water. After the steeping time has ended, pour your tea into a tea cup for drinking. This glass is like a little travel tea pot that you can drink from. And you don’t have to worry about the spout breaking off in your luggage.

Libre Tea is sharing the large glass’n poly tea glass with three LifeasMOM readers this weekend. Each winner will also receive a package of their organic ming mei green tea.

As you may know, I’m a “have-a-little-coffee-with-my-cream-and-sugar” kind of girl. But, in my efforts to reduce a few empty calories (aforementioned cream and sugar), I’m weaning myself from coffee.

Yes, yes, I am.

Not completely, but most days I’m leaning toward green tea, specifically this green tea, for my morning pick-me-up. It’s been a nice, refreshing change. It’s a lighter drink to match the lighter mood of spring. I think you’ll enjoy it. I love how each portion is prepackaged, making it perfect to take to work, on vacation, to playgroup, wherever.

During the cold winter months, though I love to have a cup of hot tea. My favorite tea moment was this past winter when my daughters decided to forgo hot chocolate in order to share a cup of tea with me. It was so nice to sit and chat with my girls (age 8 and 10) over a cup of tea.

  10. I’ve only recently started to get into tea. That is a really cool idea. I’d love to win!

My favorite tea memories are from tea time in Kenya.

I am a tea addict. I love fresh brewed tea almost any time of the day and since I have it without cream and sugar it is a guiltless treat for me.

  22. I like to drink tea in the evenings to unwind. I occasionally drink it in the morning if I need a little extra boost, as I don’t drink coffee. Thank you for the giveaway!

  26. I love a spicy tea with lots of honey on cold days.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  33. I like having a glass of fresh tea after supper

  38. My favorite tea time is winter days after school when my daughter comes home from school and makes tea for both of us. It won’t be long before she’s off to college, so I treasure those days. Thanks for the giveaway and Happy Mother’s Day!

My favorite tea moments are in the afternoon, when we finish school and we make a pot of tea, always, always have something sweet and sit down for our read aloud time. With my three children, this is that precious time when I can sit back and let time somewhat stand still.

  58. My sister and I are tea people. My Dad hailed from Scotland and tea is a way of life- it’s probably where we got it from. Though we don’t get to see eachother often (we live on opposite sides of the country) when we do we spend our mornings sipping tea and catching up at the kitchen table while we watch our kids play. 62. I’m a huge coffee drinker. I also love a little coffee with my cream and sugar! My husband however can no longer drink coffee for medical reasons. It’s too harsh on his stomach and with his recent diagnosis of angina, he’s been drinking green tea religiously. He’s mentioned that he would like some Harney & Son’s green tea and/or Teavana, but it’s super expensive and we’re on an extremely tight budget. So, I’m not sure what to get him for his upcoming birthday. This travel tea mug sounds like an awesome idea! I’ve never heard of Libre tea as I’m a super huge fan of coffee. Maybe this will work out for my hubby. Who knows, maybe he’ll finally convert me to become a tea drinker too!

  68. We have tea when I meet with a couple friends for accountability. Its a good time of confession and encouragement over a hot cup of tea.

  70. I recently made the switch from coffee to tea…not that I won’t enjoy a good cup of coffee now and then, but I mainly drink tea in the mornings now…if things are going my way, I like to sit down with my tea and my Google Reader and browse great blogs…things are going my way for a few min. right now in fact!

    I hope I win!!!

  72. Wow, what a great portable tea system!!

I have few if any tea moments as I’m also more of a little coffee with my cream and sugar kind of mom… but I do like green tea. I know it’s better for me as well. So here’s to drinking more tea!

  84. I just love drinking tea, there seems to be so many different teas that can help out from having a cold to needing more energy to get you through the day or even a glass of tea to help you sleep better at night. Personally I use them all & the travel glass tea holder would come in handy for all of my day to day erands that I do with my family.

  85. I love to visit my best friend in NC and share cups of tea at Starbucks, talk for hours, and browse quirky shops. Tea relaxes me.

  86. I love my cup of tea in the morning, caffeinated in the morning and non in the evening. Chai and Darjeeling are my favs. I love sharing a cup with a friend, having a great heart to heart. I finally had to buy a pink to go mug so my husband wouldn’t use mine for his coffee. Blechy after taste!!

I am trying so hard to reduce the amount of coke that I drink in a week. I would like to have one or less a week. I often crave them in the afternoon when I have my kiddos down for a nap and I have a moment to get on the computer, sit and fold laundry, read a book for a few minutes, or something that involves a little bit of down time. I have found that a glass of fresh unsweet iced tea (my favorite is with fruity flavors) is so refreshing and it truely quenchs my thirst, unlike cokes.

  116. Spent some time in China and am positively addicted to a particular region’s loose leaf green tea. This would be perfect!

  117. I have so many “tea moments” and honestly, the tea makes ANY moment a “tea moment”. Most recently I was sitting in the hospital with my very ill 21 year old daughter having some tea. I brought my ceramic mug and all of the fixings for tea and just used the microwave to heat up the water. I would sit by her bed and cry out to God for her. I found the tea to be a balm to my body as the Lord was a balm to my soul.

Praise God she is looking like she is turning the corner and is beginning to make some strides so that she can come home to recover and move on with life!!

  118. Favorite tea moment…once the kids are in bed!

  129. sue chibana says:

I love tea. I drink hot tea every morning
and have ice tea all afternoon. Wish I would win!

  130. My fondest tea memory is from when I was little. When I was sick with a cough and cold, mom would make me a cup of hot tea with a teaspoon of brandy in it to calm my cough. I still keep a bottle of brandy on hand for just this purpose and I still think of my mom whenever I drink tea and brandy.

  131. Amanda says:

My favorite tea moment is when my Mom, my sister and I had a “real tea” in England – nice memories!

  132. I love my tea- every morning my ten year old and I have a cup together – it is has been a nice ritual for us – plain for me and sugar in his – just thinking about it makes me smile – this is so pretty too!

  149. I grew up in a tea household, no coffeepot on our counter. So I have millions of tea moments from my childhood. Now when I drink a cup of tea it almost always causes me to sit & reflect even if only for a moment on those wonderful memories.

  150. After the kids are in bed, I sit down with my Kindle and have a little quiet time. 🙂

  151. I love hot and iced tea! I like to drink hot tea at night while reading a good book and sometimes taking a good bath. Although that will sometimes overheat you 🙂

  169. CoreyAnn says:

In America and in the heart of coffee-land (Seattle), we are fortunate to be a family that loves our daily tea and high tea breaks. My favorite tea moment is really a series of moments…

When my oldest daughter was a toddler I used to take her out to tea on a regular basis (about once a month). From there I raised a lover of tea and someone who can spend the time relaxing and relating over a hot cup and scones.

Now 18, she graduated last year and moved on to college. While we don’t get to do tea as often we still manage to put some on our calendar. I love this time with her.

Last month we were able to put together a generational tea with my mother, my sister, my 18yo, and my youngest daughter. At age 3, she has grown up with us taking her to tea. I hope to have the same bonding with her as she grows.

I can’t wait until I’m celebrating long discussions over tea with my daughters and their children!

  170. Eileen Petersen says:

Peppermint tea is the bomb! I also like the Awake tea from Starbucks when I am having a rough day. It has an amazing amount of caffine in it!

  179. I’ve never been a “hot tea” person. But as a good Southern girl, I’m never without a glass of ice cold sweet tea.

  180. favorite tea moments are definitely when I am sick…NOTHING is better than a hot cup of tea…lovely…

  181. My tea loving sister is in Scotland and we are in Maryland. Skype & tea is a wonderful, refreshing break from grad schooling & homeschooling . . .

  182. My favorite tea moment is during afternoon naps. I am very blessed that my kiddos (ages 6,4,3) all take a nice long nap each day. It becomes my time to accomplish those tasks that are difficult to do with little ones ‘helping’ but first I make a cup of tea and curl up with a good book to recharge for the rest of my day. Happy moments indeed.

(by the way, the is the coolest tea glass I’ve ever seen!)
