You may have tried to find a recipe that I’ve shared and searched all over kingdom come to no avail. Yeah, well, I guess I’ve kept it too good of a secret…

I post some recipes here on LifeasMOM, but I post lots of food-related discourse over on my food blog, Good Cheap Eats.

Sometimes even I get confused. Yes, yes, I do.

Good Cheap Eats in January

Here’s how I’ve been waxing eloquent about food this last month:

:: A Pantry Challenge – for the most part this month, I’ve chronicled our family’s Pantry Challenge, by posting almost daily what I served my family while trying to reduce our grocery spending and use what we already had. We’re bringing that to a close this week.

But, if you’re curious about the nitty gritty of how I made the most of what we had this month, you can scroll through the Pantry Challenge archives.

(Next month on GCE, I’ll be sharing some of the recipes that I used to get us through this lean month.)

:: Organizing Recipes – I also shared some tips for organizing recipes and how I’m approaching that weighty task this year.

If you’d like to keep up with Good Cheap Eats, you can subscribe or “like” it over on Facebook.

  1. I really really enjoy your Good Cheap Eats site! And I do end up switching between the two sites, trying to find certain recipes. The last recipe found? Chimichangas! Gotta love those pregnancy cravings.

  2. Been following you forever at Life as Mom. Just subscribed to Good Cheap Eats, your family has similar tastes to mine. You and Money Saving Mom are my 2 Go-To’s!!

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
