Have S’more with Stackermallows

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS: heidij1304@, alancaster1223@, pattywheeler@

This week the kids and I had a fun little lunchtime dessert. S’mores! We don’t have a fire pit and I wasn’t feeling motivated to turn on the grill. But, these indoor s’mores came together in less than 5 minutes. So, gooey and yummy.

One of the things that made them come together so easily were the new stackable marshmallows called Stackermallows from Kraft. These are perfect for making s’mores in the oven because you don’t have to fuss with rolling and wobbling marshmallows. These babies just sit there, nice and calm like.

Like me.

We used whatever chocolate I had lying around, which would include a large Special Dark bar that I bought on clearance for 50 cents, a random KitKat bar, and three mini Hershey bars from last October.

Yes, really.

But, you know what? No one cared. And the chocolate didn’t even have that dusty white stuff that old chocolate has. So, we were good.

Very good.

Everybody enjoyed his “lunch dessert” in all its sticky, chocolatey, dripping goodness. One of the easiest sweet treats I’ve pulled off in awhile.

You can try out Stackermallows, too.

Three LifeasMOM readers will each win a bag of Stackermallows from Kraft.

  1. Well, I’d have to say hot cocoa. But this time of year? S’mores win. (By the way, did you know that dusty white film is called “bloom” and is ugly, but harmless? The things you learn when your dad is the director of engineering for Nestle… ;))

  2. Roasted Marshmallow Milkshakes!

  3. My favorite use for marshmallows is bringing out sheer joy in my 4 year old; the child LOVES marshmallows and will happily eat them until he gets sick (although I always stop him before he gets to that point).

  4. Honestly my favorite thing to do with marshmallows is to eat them by themselves during most of the year, and then during Jan/Feb when it is really cold, use them in hot chocolate. I also love putting them in homemade snack mix.

  5. Oooh, I want to try these.

My current favorite use of mini marshmallows is as potty treats when we run out of something more exciting. Big brother gets one for pooping, and little brother gets one for cheering him on. =)

  6. Marshmallow? It’s a food group right? LOL I love them alone or warmed by a campfire. S’mores are heavenly!

  7. If I open a bag of marshmallows for a purpose such as smores, I will just eat any that are left. I don’t know why, but I just love them.

  8. S’mores of course! We’re going camping later in the month….these would be perfect.

  9. Rebecca says:

My favorite place (use) for marshmallows is in my belly 🙂 on a frugal note I have a bag of bunny marshmallows that are flat and colorful I think they would make fun smores too. And we know these kinds of shaped mashmallows go on clearance after the holidays 🙂 I will be thinking ahead next time 🙂

  10. Eckert S says:

I like to toast them in the toaster oven and enjoy just the toasted marshmallow. Don’t get me wrong, I like chocolate and graham crackers just as much as the next chocoholic, but the marshmallow is much better savored by itself instead of being overpowered by the other smores ingredients!

  11. I really don’t like marshmallows, except when they’re in smores so that’s my favorite use for them!

  12. susan t says:

We use them to make rice krispy treats.

  13. Marshmallow fights with the kids!!!

  14. If you were ever a part of Young Life, you know the game called “Chubby Bunnies”. It sounds gross to me now, but in high school it was totally hilarious. Whoever could stuff the most marshmallows in his/her mouth and still say “Chubby Bunnies” was the winner.

  15. We had a S’mores bar for a family gathering last weekend, and I used the StackerMallows! I saw them online, and looked for them in the store (I found them at Target). They are tooooo cooool! For me, it adds just enough marshmallow gooeyness (is that a word??) to the chocolate and graham crackers. (We also had coconut, raspberries, and strawberries if you wanted to make your smores fancy – so fun!)

  16. I like to just roast them and eat them off the skewer.

  17. Jen Logan says:

We put mini marshmallows in a “mixed-up” snack for the kids but smores are my fave!
