MOM Deals This Week

Chances are you have to do some shopping in the week ahead. With a little pre-planning and web surfing, you may just be able to save some coin. Here are a few things I see on the horizon:

  • For a head’s up on the coupons in Sunday’s paper, visit Taylortown Preview. If there’s absolutely nothing you would ever buy in this weekend’s coupons, you can forego the paper. I think there are a couple great ones (ie $1.50 Stacy’s chips and $1.50 Aveeno lotion, things we like around here)
  • Are you swagging yet? Since we signed up with Swagbucks a few weeks ago, our family has earned $10 in Starbucks cards, just by doing our internet searching with Swagbucks instead of another search engine. It’s tricky in the sense that not every search generates bucks. So, if at first you don’t succeed…. (Think Freepacino)
  • Current.comis a fun place to find inexpensive stationery and gifts. They also have some cute items for Valentine’s Day. Check out their unique Kids’ Valentines and treats. Love these Valentine Rubber Duckies. (Think avoid the line at Walmart on February 13th.)
  • Good buys on Pepsi products and baby items at CVS this weekend. If you’re new to CVS, check out my primer for January here. Hot Coupon World has the lowdown here.
  • If you live near a Kroger store, such as Ralphs or Dillons, check their ad for their Mega Mix and Match sale. Buy 10 qualifying items and receive $5 off your order. Some of these items have coupons to match, making them free! I got several bottle of mustard, chili, and SOBE Life Water for nothing. Some of the qualifying items were not listed in the ad, so keep your eyes peeled for special tags and your coupon box at the ready. Stretching a Buck has put together a listing of sale items with coupons here. (Think SuperBowl.)
  • The Happy Housewife has the details on how to get an extra 40% off select grocery items at Amazon. Here’s the scoop.
  • Don’t forget to enter for a chance to win free Heritage Foods Organic Milk. Go here to enter. Ends tonight at midnight. (Think cookies and milk.)
  • Freebies4Mom has a similar milk giveaway as well as all the hottest freebies and coupons, including how to get a free 100 photo prints. (Think Valentines.)

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
