When I first became a mom (circa 1997), we had a dial-up internet connection that worked really, really slow. My husband had a pager. I don’t think I even had a cell phone.

A lot has changed in the last 16 years! Back then it was a little bit harder to get information and a little more costly. If I wanted a book on natural child birth, I’d have to buy it from Borders (does Borders even exist anymore?!) or hope that a friend or the library could loan it to me.

Nowadays, I can download a book from the library or Amazon in a few clicks of a mouse. They aren’t kidding when they say we live in the information age!

As a prenatal patient, I was always on the crunchy side. No, I don’t want an epidural, thank you. No, I don’t want to lie in bed. Yes, I do want to walk around. Yes, I do want to breast feed.

Even though I had three of my babies in California, home of the hippies, I still got some raised eyebrows  over my birthing choices. That’s okay. We lived to tell about it.

Some observations now that my baby years are past:

Sixteen years ago I would have been thrilled to get my hand on books like these:

Books for Healthy Babies and Kids

Currently all these books are available in The Ultimate Healthy Living bundle. The sum total of these books is $70.42. The bundle includes 86 ebooks for $29.97 this week. That’s a lot of books, and it can seem overwhelming. That’s why I wanted to break it down for you a bit so you can see the forest for the trees.

  1. I love the photo of you and your baby sleeping in the chair . I remember those days when my children were younger. There is nothing More precious than having your newborn baby all snuggled in a blanket laying on your chest sleeping. It feels like they melt into you andyou become one. Love it!!
