What great lengths I will go to in order to get something free! Remember when the kids and I dressed up like cows? Well, Chipotle is offering free burritos tonight to whomever comes in dressed like a burrito (from 6 pm until closing). You know where I’m eating dinner!

My mom is coming to town this afternoon and since my brothers only live a few blocks away, we’re going to make it a family affair. I guess the college kids all know the scoop – you don’t have to be a burrito from head to toe. A little aluminum foil on your hat seems to score the deal. But, since half the world is going to be dressed up anyway, I don’t mind wrapping myself in a large, silver emergency blanket.

And even if half the world wasn’t going to be dressed up, I’d still do it anyway.

I’ve posed as a cow, for heaven’s sake!

(By the way, I’ll have a carnitas fajita burrito with black beans, mild salsa, cheese, lettuce and guacamole. Mmmm…. When we lived in the MidWest, Chipotle was the closest thing we could get to good Mexican food. It holds a special place in my heart.)

  1. Be sure to take a family photo in your dinnerwear…lol. We would totally do this, but alas we have nothing resembling a burrito that we could don…

Sniff…we only live like five minutes away from a Chipotle’s too…

    Enjoy!

  2. closest thing to good mexican in the midwest? what about southwest blvd.? that’s the authentic stuff, sister! how far from downtown did you guys live when you were here?

  3. We lived in Olay-thu. But, several people from work, etc. took hubby to SW Blvd. and he said the places they went were gross. After awhile, you just quit throwing money away.
