I love the country that we live in. I love the principles that the Founding Fathers set forth: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I love that there have been men and women willing to fight for those freedoms, whether physically or with other means.

But, I love Jesus more. Any freedom that we experience in the United States, is ultimately, thanks to Him.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed….”

John 8:34-36

May your Fourth of July be filled with true freedom.

thanks for your post. true freedom is to be free in Christ.

  10. And with our government doing everything in its power to take away our earthly freedom, it is good to know that at least we can have spiritual freedom.

Thanks so much for participating in this conversation about "a mom's life."

This is a place where moms can be themselves. Remember that each mother's path looks a little different. Please keep your comments respectful and kind. Reasonable minds will disagree in a nice way.

So let's talk about it, using "our big girl words."
