Hey hey hey! I started the Weekly Ramble way back in 2010. It’s had many iterations over the last decade and a half, but it’s currently on the blog every Friday.
I’m a Christian, wife, mother, homemaker, (retired) homeschooler, open nester, and writer. Here’s what’s been on my mind:
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? I survived another heat wave without whining too much — and I even kept up my step streak! (Currently at 181 days.) Those are a couple wins of the last week. We had 100+ temps for multiple days in a row, something that is norm for…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? There’s another September for the books. It’s wild how much there is to do and read and see, and how quickly the time seems to be passing. Again, the only thing I can think of to get back more time is to unplug — except that…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? It must be baby snail season! I’ve seen more and more of these little guys while I’m out on my walk in the mornings. Thankfully, they’re out early before most people or there isn’t much foot traffic as they’re alive and kicking when I cross their…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? Today’s ramble is going to be short and sweet because I don’t have a ton to report. The week has flashed before my very eyes. I’m not quite sure how that happened. Have we talked about my magnet mirror? For the longest time I collected magnets…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? I haven’t forgotten. With the anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s death yesterday and 911 today, how could one forget that wicked men still do evil on this earth? I know these aren’t isolated incidents. There is wickedness all over, but those two events hold space in my…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? This week’s ramble will be short and sweet as it’s already 4 pm and there’s pizza to be made. Normally, I have time on Thursday evening or Friday morning to tap this out, but this week did not obey. It started strong with a fun Sunday…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? Oh my word. Is it Friday already? It’s been a whirlwind of a week! We packed a lot into our 2.5 days of staycation and then the boys came home from Spain, the girls came home from Sacramento, a handful of kids got sick, and here…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? Greetings from our staycation! Technically, I’m not here. I wrote this before our vacation began, so details of the actual staycation will be saved for next Friday. However, this shot is from a little sneak peek we gave ourselves on Sunday after church. We stopped at…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? Hello, hello! I’m now week 2 into Operation Open Nest and I feel like I’m getting my bearings. I’ve spent most of the week at home since we had to do some car juggling. I’ve turned off all my alarms and allowed myself to sleep as…
Hello and Happy Friday! Are you ready to ramble? Yes, I have trouble with my cuticles and I leave my tea bag in the mug ’til I’m done drinking. Not the most photo-worthy of images, but also very much the real me. I’ve been a nail picker since childhood. That’s what I’m doing in this…
