There’s another September for the books. It’s wild how much there is to do and read and see, and how quickly the time seems to be passing.
Again, the only thing I can think of to get back more time is to unplug — except that some many of my to-do’s involve screens. Not sure what to say about that, but that if I will manage my time better, I think my life could be a lot more fun. And probably tidier, too.
It doesn’t help that I got food poisoning earlier this week. That set me back some time, resting and recovering. Oy!
Between my efforts to rehydrate and my very long to-do list, I hope that this week’s ramble will end up being profitable for you!
Here’s what else I’ve been doing, eating, listening/watching, and/or reading this past week:

What I’m Learning
My husband and I do very much share the same brain.
After church on Sunday, we made a stop at a guitar store where he had been wanting to take his time and peruse. It’s a little off our regular route, but could be “on the way home” from church if we drove a different path.
Luckily there was a Kohls nearby, so I got my steps in Kohls while he talked shop with fellow musicians.
When we parted ways for our separate stores, we had said we’d go to Rubio’s for lunch afterward. I came out of Kohls thinking that Pizza Port sounded more like a weekend, Sunday afternoon vibe. Turns out he was thinking the same thing!
So that was fun. The patio was empty, our drinks were good, and we split a pizza and enjoyed down time. It was so nice!

What I’ve Been Doing
My weekdays are starting to find a regular groove. I’ve been making an effort to get my steps all by my lonesome. With my neighbor friend Julie on vacation, Bryan at work, and FishChick18 at school, I’ve had to go it alone.
And turns out it’s not so bad. I can go at my own pace, listen to podcasts, sermons, or music, and enjoy the quiet. This past week was very cool, but now we’re onto another heat wave.
Good thing Julie is coming back to motivate me!

What I’ve Been Eating
We go long, long stretches of eating at home, but this last week has had THREE date nights and one lunch with a friend so a lot of my eating has been out.
I love the manicotti at Spirito’s, the pizza and wine at Pizza Port, and the fish tacos at Pure Taco. Those fish tacos are 2 for $5!
I took a friend to lunch at Olive Garden because it’s so quiet and peaceful and their lunch specials are about the same price as Chipotle. Unfortunately, I think that’s where I got the food poisoning, so I guess that unlimited soup and salad really did push my body to the limits. Oy!
Since then I’ve had lots of cinnamon toast and bland foods.

What I’ve Been Listening/Watching
We don’t currently have any Prime channels but their horrific and/or over sexualized commercials just may push me to it. We’ve been watching the New Tricks live channel here and there mixed in with the live Acorn Mysteries.
Nothing to write home about.

What I’ve Been Reading
I didn’t read a single book in September. I’m shocked.
But, I’m doing two Bible studies and reading 20 minutes of Bible on my own so that counts, right? Hoping to do better reading once I get a handle on my to-do list.
I really enjoy both Bible studies, but they each take a pretty big chunk out of the week. I said I’d go through Thanksgiving and then decide if I was going to keep at it all year.

What I’ve Been Writing
I put together a Fallidays Success Kit to go with the Holiday Success Kit! That was a fun little brainstorm on one of my walks this week.
I’d love for you to check either or both out!
Okay, that’s it for me. Have a great weekend!
How was your week?
