Giving gifts can often be just as fun as getting them. In fact, I’ve found that when I take the attention off myself and try to bless other people, that the whole season is lots more enjoyable.
Yesterday I shared five frugal gift ideas that I have made for friends and family over the years. From now until December 24, we’ll be sharing frugal ideas for gift giving.
DIY Coupon Book Instructions
Making your own coupon book is a great way to give a custom gift. It can be as extravagant or as budget-friendly as you like. You only need a few paper craft supplies and a list of activities you want to gift.
It takes just minutes and a few household ingredients to mix up a batch of Lavender Milk Bath. Perfect for relaxing or giving as a gift, this homemade milk bath is super frugal and a great way to DIY on a dime.
Are you taking care of YOU this holiday season? It’s important to your family that you enjoy this season while you’re trying to make it special for them. Plan regular Self Care Sundays so that you can rest and reenergize for the festivities.
About four years ago my husband was diagnosed with a bulging disk. I was pregnant with FishChick at the time, and it was a scary time watching him practically paralysed with pain. Thankfully, treatment, time, and exercise put him back in the swing of things. And he’s had a respite from debilitating pain for about three…
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Panasonic. All opinions are 100% mine. Spring seems to bring baby season with it. As you plan for baby showers and precious new arrivals, consider these baby gifts that will go the distance, gifts that can grow with the family and be used for…
Make a huge poster for just a few bucks by visiting an unexpected place: your local office supply store. The following tutorial is written by Anne Bogel, from Modern Mrs. Darcy. I’ve recently discovered a fun–and cheap–way to get a lot of bang for my decorating bucks. It’s called an “engineering print,” which is…
Create these fun and whimsical homespun felt ornaments for the Christmas tree. They’re a great reminder of the fruits of the Spirit. Please note: I am not a crafter. I am not a seamstress. I am most definitely not an artist. Rarely do the visions in my head actually turn out the way I, well,…
As many families do, we give our kids new Christmas tree ornaments each year. These are designed to be their personal ornaments so that when they leave home someday, they have Christmas-in-a-box to take with them. My mom did this for me and my siblings, too. One thing that I like to do is choose…
After I read your post on pampering yourself at Thanksgiving, I decided to give a “spa gift basket” to my sister-in-law and maybe some others in the family. I have recently stumbled upon someone in my town who makes soaps, lotions, lip balms, and more. I love her products. They are pricier than if I bought something generic at Wal-Mart, so I can’t get her much. But in a nice basket, those few things are going to look great. Plus there are the many weeks of nasty ingredient-free cleansing and moisturizing that she will get.
Thanks for sharing a great list of ideas! Good inspiration!

Sounds like a great gift idea!
